Is everyone going somewhere over spring break but you? Well, it may seem that way, but there are more kids stuck at home than you think! Here are ten things you can do to make the week not so boring:
Get into a good mystery book! Check out something that will keep your attention and show you that not all books, just certain required ones, are bad!
Volunteer your time! See if you can help out at a nursing home or a help a neighbor. Offer to babysit while the parents go have fun or if you can help out at the Clare House in Bloomington.
Make a Photo Album or Scrapbook! Take out all the pictures of you with friends or accomplishments you've made and you'll be feelinb better in no time.
Look for summer job oppurtunities! Apply for that Mc Donalds, Baskin Robbins, or American Eagle job you've been admiring.
Research summer camps! Spring break is the best time to sign up for summer activities.
Decorate your room! Give it a make over. Put up pictures, paint a new color, or stick up magazine photos. Any change will do.
Start an exercise program! Make up your own to whatever you feel needs work or use a workout from a magazine. Just make sure it is one you'll stick to and enljoy.
Organize your room! Throw away all that old junk that's taking up space in your closet and make way for the new.
See what everyoen's been talking about! Check out new sites on the Internet oor read the newspaper. Learn about the world.
Get into a new hobby! Try anything that intrests you.
Now the first thing I'd advise you to do is finish any of that homework you've been given, or at least make a good start on it! Just be glad you don't have to get up early and go to school for a whole week! Most importantly, be positive and be creative!
