Name: Brian Devereux
Sounds like...    Bass, Harmonica, Electronica, Noises

All Signs Point to... - Gemini

We asked Brian about the significance of the items stuck to his bass. His response:

The NHL card: This is goalie Patrick Roy from back in the year when he won his first Stanley Cup with Montreal. This is on here for two reasons. This is to always remind me that the bassist is the goalie for the band. Sometimes I may be thinking of going off on a long solo or using some of the more outlandish effects in my rack, but Patrick's here to remind me that it's my job to stay in the goal (the groove!) If a song starts to sputter like a puck breaking loose, it's my place to grab a hold of it, set the groove going again & keep the song in play.

WBLM sticker: These were the call letters for a radio station back in Maine. While the station has lost its way & stopped actually caring about music, the message it preached with its choice of call letters still holds true for all of us.
We Believe in the Legalization of Marijuana.

Doggie Head: This is a sticker of the mascot of the old Doggie Diner chain (picture by E. Lee)
The Doggie Head stands guard on Sloat Blvd, a spiritual leader. Thanks to the efforts of thousands of San Franciscans & others from around the world, we were able to get the city to repair & protect the Doggie Head. Unfortunately the resturant it's connected to is still in danger of closing. Support Carousel Burger & Silver Ballestros when you visit the head. Thanks!
