Stop yourself for a second one of these daze, and take a look at what’s all around you, my friends. COPERNICUS here, finally, for the long awaited 7th issue of this beautiful rag we call home. And of course, I’m still Jus’ Talkin’ Shit. Yes, yes, the column about nothing that always gives you a lil’ somethin’. So here it is:
I had to go to the doctor the other day for some serious emergency-style reasons — and during my visit at UC-Sf’s 911 room, I not only had to wait and watch 2 episodes of M.A.S.H., but I had to turn-down an ambulance ride to the emergency room!! Don't get me wrong, I was in some serious pain, but when you're not covered the cracker way in a cracker society — you have to think about: yes, the cracked-out COST. Let’s see...my last ride in the red and white cost me $672.38!!  Where in the fuck do you come-up with a number like that?  It’s completely beyond me. I mean, $672.38? What shit is that?  How's this for something? — FREE!!!
When one of our fellow humans is sick, shot, dying, or just needs that 911 assistance, they're in position to really care about the hidden costs — they have to get in the ambulance, they need certain supplies or what not. So without coverage (or cracker support) you're screwed. They'll save your life for a minute, drive you to the hospital and...BAMM!! Two weeks later you got a fat bill.  No wonder you see so many John Does and Mary Janes in the hospital.  I guess I'm really upset. The youth of today should rally this issue to the public. YOU can make it better for all of us.  Not everyone can afford coverage and Medi-Cal don't do shit.  It's almost like the music biz, my children.  They aren't in for the love of saving lives, the art-form of it all — they’re in it for the money.  Cuz’ if they don’t get you in the E.R. on time, YOU GET TO DIE AND THEY STILL GET PAID$$$ — We should take care of our fellow man with heart and soul, not dollars and cents.  That makes sense to me.  Peace.
