Well it's been a little while
since I last wrote to you. And the last time we talked, I promised
a recipe for gin & chronic. This, for the purposes of description,
is whatís called a tincture. Iíll give you the official
word form the CBC, give you my private twist & a little mo'.
In the official CBC
pamphlet, it suggests using vodka & weed to make a tincture.
It says:
To prepare a tincture, use 5 parts fresh marijuana to 1 part vodka. If you are using dried marijuana, as is usually the case, use 10 parts marijuana to 1 part vodka. An easy (way) to do this if you don't have measuring equipment, is to fill whatever container you're using (glass is preferable, you don't want to leech any residues from metal containers) two thirds full with herb, then fill the container with vodka and let stand for a week or more. Afterward, strain the solution. If you use a larger portion of herb, the resulting tincture will be more potent.
There's two variations
on this that I like to use. This first one was an old Jamaican recipe
given to the band that says: Open a new bottle of rum. Drink about
half of it & then fill the bottle back up with weed. Then top
it off with a couple of tablespoons of honey. Seal the mixture up
& leave in a dark part of your house for about a year. Open this
rum for a special occasion & watch-out!!! This one comes with a warning
that more than a few shots can be deadly...
My own GIN & CHRONIC
is a variation: take maybe an 8th for every 2 glasses & chop finely
in a blender. Pour in your gin & blend together on low-med.
Put in a glass container & paper-bag it (like lsd, I've heard that
free thc in a tincture is light sensitive & I don't want to take the
risk of it degrading) and put it in your fridge. Let sit for 8-48
hours, strain, & serve with lime/tonic/& ice (or with OJ).
Enjoy!!!!
Remember that some
of the most important parts of wanting to smoke is availability of bud
& chances of being nabbed in local enforcement wars. One of the
ways to effect both the availability & the penalties for possession
once you have procured is to change the laws. Ask yourself,"When
was the last time I cared about being NORML?" We all must remember
that the fight for legalization didn't end with the passage of 215 in California,
in fact this has helped show us how much further we have to go. Take
some time to help make a difference. Go to HEMP-FAIRS, volunteer
for NORML, get INFORMED!!
Remember to stay alert &
stay stoned!!
First, here is the info for
