~Welcome My Child~

Welcome my child, God smiles slowly and said,
"I've waited near three months for you here in Heaven."
The child turned, looked back toward Earth and cried,
"They don't understand why I've left them today
Lord look, look see how they grieve
my parents, my friends, my family.
Please let me go back just for a day
to explain to them why I've come here to stay.
Let me show them how perfect my body is now,
how strong my small arms are, how smooth my small brow.
I'll show them how deeply and easily I breathe.
I'll smile and wave bye-bye and roll over with ease.
Please, Please let me help them see how happy I am
Lord I know I can make them see and understand."
The Lord looked gently at the small pleading child
"My child do not worry, it's part of my plan
It takes time for these people to comprehend and understand
They will heal and they will grow from the lessons you've taught.
They will laugh and be joyful more often than not."
The Lord cradled the child in his strong arm
"We'll wait for them here away from all harm.
We'll laugh and we'll play
and they'll meet us here over Jordan someday.
Then all will be explained and all understood
and then they will know it was all for the good."
The Lord and the child walked slowly away
and down here on Earth the people that stayed
shook their heads sadly, peered heavenward, and cried...
Someday...

Letter From Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from Heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon, and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again, you were missed while
you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got Me on you mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...you're coming here to Me.

Dearest Mommy

When you wonder the meaning of life and love
Know that I am with you
Close your eyes and feel me kissing you
In the gentle breeze across you cheek
When you begin to doubt that you shall ever see me again
Quiet your mind and hear me
I am in the whisper of the heavens
Speaking of your love
When you lose your identity
When you question who you are and where you are going
Open your heart and see me
I am the twinkle in the stars smiling down upon you
Lighting the path for your journey
When you awaken each morning not remembering your dreams
But feeling content and serene
Know that I was with you
Filling your nights with thoughts of me
When you linger in the remnant pain
Wholeness seeming so unfamiliar
Think of me
Know that I am with you
Touching you through shared tears of a gentle friend
Easing the pain
As the sunrise illuminates the desert sky
In that breathtaking brilliance, awaken your spirit
Think of our time together, all too brief, but ever brilliant
When you were certain of us together
When you were certain of your destiny
Know that God created that moment in time
Just for us
I am with you always.

Mommy and Daddy

Mommy and Daddy please don't be sad.
I miss you so much, too.
It's beautiful here where I am,
but I worry a lot about you.
I sleep with angels watching me,
there's only love up here.
I'm never lonely of afraid
'cause God is always near.
I walk with Jesus every day.
He's very kind and sweet.
Don't worry, Mommy and Daddy, He holds my hand
when we cross a golden street.
I never cry or hurt myself,
I see rainbows every day...
I play and laugh and sing a lot
and hear you when you pray.
Please, Mommy and Daddy, don't be mad at God.
You see, He loves me, too.
And, even though you're not with me,
I'm really still with you.
