The rational for putting together this five day unit was so the students would learn how to explore the internet, and to have an on line resource for students.  Thus enabling them to access any of the alcohol unit materials outside of the classroom.

• Drinking and driving is the leading cause of death for 16-24 years old in the United States.
• More than half amillion people are injured each year in alcohol-related auto accidents, including 40,00 teens.
• More tha 40% of all teen age deaths (15-20) occur in car crashes.
• 88% of drivers involved in signal car crashes tested positve for alcohol compared with 41% in fatal multiple vechicle crashes
