~Dyin of a Broken Heart - Part 7~

Holly and Micky sat on the bed sharing an omelet that she had made when they arrived back at his cabin. “This is delicious.” Micky smiled. “I thought you said you couldn’t cook.”

“No, I said I never had time to cook.” She took a sip of coffee.

“You’re incredible, doc.” He set his plate down. “You’re beautiful, intelligent, sexy as hell and you can cook.”

“You’re not too bad yourself.” She blushed.

He took her hands in his. “Holly, I…”

“No.” She put a finger to his lips. “Please don’t say anything that you don’t mean or out of exhaustion. It was a long emotional night.”

“Okay.” He kissed her finger. “I’ll wait until you are ready to hear it.” He took her hand and turned it over to kiss her palm and nibble on her wrist.

A small moan escaped her as he nibbled and kissed his way up her arm to her shoulder and then her neck. His hand fisted in her hair gently tugging her head back and giving him better access to her neck and throat. He kissed her lips then, their tongues entwining as his hands rubbed her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and together they fell back on the bed. They made love, slow and gentle, each touch bringing them closer. Each kiss saying more than words ever could.

“I don’t want to leave you tomorrow.” He held her close against him afterwards twisting a strand of her hair around his finger. “I’ll come back as soon as I can.”

“I don’t want you to go, but we have tonight.” She looked up at him with a soft smile. “And I’ll be here when you come back.”

Holly drove Micky to the airport the next morning. They walked to the terminal hand in hand and silent, both of them thinking of a way to say goodbye. Then they sat and waited for his flight to be called and the announcement was made too quickly.

“I’ll call you as soon as I get home.” He stood and took her hands kissing them.

“Have a safe trip.” She blinked away the tears.

“I don’t know if you’re ready to hear this or not, but I have to say it.” He cupped her face. “I love you, Holly.”

“I love you too.” She whispered looking into his eyes.

He kissed her softly, his arms wrapping around her in a tight embrace. He pulled away and walked towards the boarding gate. He turned around one last time to look at her and she blew him a kiss. She waited until the plane took off and then she drove home.

THE END!
