Burgandy Medieval Style Gown

Here is another gown which was purchsed from Ebay and tranformed into what you now see. Originally it was a simple sleeveless yet elegant gown of plain burgandy. I added the lace sleeves, and made a bodice and arm bands from blue satin, and added lots of lace ruffles around the neckline. The photos show one arm stuffed with bags for some form and then with the arm band fastened, and the other sleeve without the arm band - loose and flowing.

Here is a closer view

Here is a view of the sleeve with the arm band, and a close up of the lace and lacings on the arm band.

Here is a close up of the side of the bodice. It laces on both sides under the arms. You can also see some of the gold lace trim on the bodice.

This is a back view of the gown. The lace tie across the back is to keep the shoulders of the gown from slipping off, but on a bustier person this could possibly be removed.

And finally a view of the back of the gown without the bodice. There is some nice draping along the waistline, which is hidden when the dress is worn with the bodice.
