Here are some pics of the dress I made for Lynley for the last gift exchange. There's too much light in some of the pictures. The detail is of the top of the bodice which is smocked and took longer than the actual construction of the dress. I used McCall's 2627 for the top and then winged the rest.
Here are some pics of the dress I designed for Heather. It is a combination of two patterns which I adjusted. The ruffle on the bottom was made from a length of fabric which I pleated as if I was going to smock it, but then pulled it loose and then did decorative machine stitch overtop. Again the pictures had too much light and I didn't get them focused too well.
