Length of Entry
  1. 12 sentences or more
  1. 7-12 sentences
  1. less than 7 sentences

Spelling/Syntax
  1. Spelling is excellent – no more than 1 error. Syntax is appropriate.

Sentences flow cohesively, using standard grammar and conventions.
  1. 2-3 spelling errors are present. Syntax may be choppy in places. Some

sentences show awkward transitions. Minor errors in grammar and

conventions, but these do not detract from the readability of the text.
  1. More than 3 spelling errors are present. Syntax is inconsistent

within the text. Numerous errors in grammar and conventions, and

these detract from the readability of the text.
