Chapter 4 Alex yawned as she stared at Melissa "Who do you think you are! You can't tell me who I can or cannot talk to. Melissa you obviousily think that I'm one of your little dogs here" She pointed to Cherie and Gina "Well guess what, I'm not. Get a Life, Grow up, and get over it. You don't scare me. What are you gonna do shake your pom poms at me!" Melissa blinked as she said "How could you talk to me like that?" Alex groaned "Oh please Melissa save it for Oprah" Melissa turned around and ran Suddenly China Cho stared at her with cold eyes "You've been warned" Alex laughed "I'm shakin" She hadn't readlized she had attracted a crowd untill a tall blond with chin length hair smiled at her. "i'm Jessica Wakefield and that was.." Alex blinked so this was the Jessica Will had a crush on. Alex sighed the girl was beautiful. She shrugged and responded to Melissa "It was nothing. Melissa is a brat" Jessica laughed "I should have done what you just did. Believe me it was something. Do you got to SVH I don't think we've meet. What did you say your name was?" Alex smiled "I didn't my name's Alex Roman" "Okay Alex How about lunch. A bunch of my friends and I are meeting at the HOJ. Believe me once I tell them what you did they will be in awe of you." Alex stood rooted to the spot. Did she really want to get to know thia girl. She groaned inwardly Of corse Will would like someone who was not only beautiful but friendly too. It wasn't Jessica's fault that Will didn't like her. "I'd love to come" Jessica grinned "Great! Welcome to Sweet Valley Alex!"
Hoj was packed as Liz and Conner made there way in. Liz smiled they would have been there sooning but the kiss Conner had given her when he had picked her up had lasted about an hour! She had finally told him that they had to get going Conner pulled Liz to the corner of HOJ his eyes were on her's as he kissed her softly. "We can always see our friends later" He nibbled on her lower lip. Liz felt her resolve crumbling. They could always meet the gang later. Suddenly she heard Andy's voice "Break it up you guys!" They broke apart. Liz glowed a bright red as Conner felt her racing pulse and whispered in her ear "Later" Andy waved and they sat down. Liz sighed as Conner's arm casually moved over her shoulder. She looked around and stared into hazel eyes. She looked at the girl and suddenly realized who she was. "Sarah Santos" Sarah smiled she didn't think Elizabth would remember her Liz continued "You were in my Calc class last semester" sarah nodded. She almost sighed at the casual yet loving way Conner and Liz sat together. Sarah sat sandwhiched in the middle of Andy and Tia. Suddenly Jessica walked in with a girl Sarah didn't recognize. She was pretty in a I'm no trying way. Jessica and the new girl who's name was Alex sat down as Jessica related the Melissa confrontation. Tia laughed "You go girl. Melissa needs someone to tell it like it is. sometimes I think she believes her own lies" Everyone laughed. Suddenly they were all silent as Jeremy Aames walked in. Sarah felt the tension. Jeremy looked at Jessica and pulled her up. She stared at him warily as he handed her a blue velvet box and said "Happy anniversary". Jessica through her arms around him as they started kissing. Andy groaned as Angel walked in "God here comes another one. Does anyone else feel like there in a chessy soap opera" They left much later. Tia with Angel, Liz and Conner, Jeremy and Jessica, Andy caught a ride with Maria and Ken. While Sarah got one with Alex. "Thanks" Sarah said as she got into Alex's car. It's not a problem. Could you believe that. One minute I' a new girl in town the next minute i'm exchanging my e-mail address and number with a dozen people!" Sarah grinned "I know I felt like I was in friends or something. Andy is right there are so many couples Conner and Liz, Jeremy and Jessca, Angel and Tia.. There all so perfect for each other to." "Maria and Ken looked like they were headed in the couple direction too." Sarah nodded Alex groaned "You all look like models. I was ready to barf." Sarah laughed "Oh right I'm on the latest cover of Nerds R Us. Your the one who looks like them" They both laughed as ALex pulled into Sarah's driveway "Thanks for the ride Alex" "Anytime Sar us normal looking girls gotta stick together" Sarah got out and smiled as Alex drove off. Maria tryed not to sigh as she stared at Ken. They had just dropped Andy off. She was trying hard to just think of Ken as a friend but it was getting harder every day. Ken smiled as he said "I know what your thinking" Maria blushed "I doubt that" Ken smiled "Your thinking that your happy you can hang out with Conner and Liz." Maria nodded that was sorta true. She couldn't even remember why she had a crush on Conner in the first place! She looked out the window and tried to forget what she felt for Ken now! Casey wagged her tail as if to say yes. He wasn't interested in a serious realtionship and since that was what girls wanted he just didn't need that. Suddenly he remebered Sarah's Hazel eyes or the way she laughed. Sorta like if she was out of pratice. Casey stared at him as Andy got up. Casey barked "Don't start Casey you know your the only one. No way do I feel anything for Sarah she is my complete opposite" he said as he looked into a mirror and for some reason he couldn't stare into his own eyes Sarah woke up with a start. The phone by her bed rang and rang. She blinked it was 6:00 am who ever was calling her was insane! She picked up the phone with a mumbled "Hello" "I'm sorry did I wak eyou" Sarah groaned as she said sarcastically "No I always wake up at this time to milk the cows Who is this?" The girl laughed "Alex Roman Are you awake yet?" Sarah grumbled "I'm awake what's up" Alex smiled into the receiever "Your not a morning person" "Alex people have lost there lives trying to wake me up. So what gives" Alex sighed"I know this sounds insane" "Uh huh" "I need to talk to someone and well we did exchange numbers.." Sarah understood immediatly she had felt an instant friendship with Alex too. "Give me twenty minutes Alex" Alex smiled "Okay we'll get some coffee into you at the HOJ" Sarah sighed "Your paying" Maria tryed not to be nervous. She had finally decided to forget about guys period when she'd found 2 red roses and a note that said "Give me a Chance" She walked towards Ken's locker. He was with Conner, Andy , and Evan who Maria remembered vaguely from the Parallax concert. She touched Ken's shoulder and was about to ask Ken what they meant. I mean they had to be from Ken right? Suddenly Evan caught sight of her and smiled "You got the flowers" Maria stuttered "I er I yeah" evan pulled away from the group he didn't notice Ken's intent gaze "So will you" "Will I what" Evon smiled "Give me a chance. We'd be great together Maria" Maria sighed as she looked right into Ken's intent gaze What was she going to do now?
