Welcome to SVH History

This is a little lesson for those of you who have never read SVH at least not before Senior Year! So Cait and Grace will explain...here goes.

Well…I suppose the best place to start is the beginning. Now I'm assuming that since you here you have some knowledge on what Sweet Valley High is all about but, its better to be safe than sorry. So, I guess I'll explain just what happened before Senior Year as if you have never heard it before. Now… I know that you probably know some of this stuff so bare with me. I'm sure you'll find something you don't know. After all I know everything about Sweet ValleyWell, in Sweet Valley High the twins are juniors. (easy to guess cause there seniors now) And believe it or not…Sweet Valley Junior year and Senior year are just about as different as they can be giving that there was only 2 months vacation in-between them.

Jessica Wakefield was a go-getter. There was nothing she couldn't do. She had the looks, the popularity and the cleverness to get whatever she wanted. She used this to her advantage all the time…whether is was in getting money out of her friends, getting Liz to do her dinner shift, or landing herself in a major production, such as the time the twins were picked to be on a soap opera series. But don't getting me wrong, Jessica was a friendly girl, not totally demanding, and she was a blast to be around.

Unlike in senior year, Jessica had a countless about of boys asking her out and she switched boyfriends about every month or sometimes every week. She rarely got serious with anyone. She never liked the idea of being tied down. She loved to flirt with all the good looking guys and flaunt her looks. Jessica had tons of friends also. Her best friend was Lila Fowler. I call them partners in crime. They were constantly scheming or competing for a guy's attention. But despite all this they were always there for each other. Like the time Lila's house burned down and when Liz was in a coma. Jessica had it all…and now, in senior year, I think she learned the hardest lesson of all…"The higher you are, the farther you fall."

Elizabeth was a different person in junior year too, but not as nearly as different as Jessica. Elizabeth was very serious student, with a high average and many ambitions. She had her heart set out on being a writer, and she still does now. She was the kind of person that everyone liked because she listened and offered honest advice. She worked on the school newspaper and always loved the chance to learn something new. All these things are still part of her now, but somethings have changed.

Elizabeth used to have a steady relationship with Todd Wilkins. They were Sweet Valley's picture perfect couple. Everyone thought they would last forever…I guess they were wrong. Elizabeth never really took much care in how she looked either. Don't be fooled…she still looked great, but she never bothered with new fashions, makeup, or hairstyles. She wore practical clothes, but they were a part of who she was and they fit her down to earth, stable attitude. Elizabeth was best friends with Enid Rollins. They were really close and shared everything. Elizabeth had tons of friends, but she never told anyone else the things she told Enid.

And in Junior year the Twins were as close as two people could be. They shared everything with each other, laughter and heartache. When one hurt the other felt it. The constantly found themselves in jams. Jessica was always the cause and Elizabeth always got then out of it. And even though Elizabeth sometimes got mad at Jessica, she never minded her crazy schemes…they kept her life interesting. They were complete opposites, which made then a perfect pair.

Now you are probably wondering how all this could have changes in less then three months. Well, it took only one word…Earthquake.

After an earthquake sturck Sweet Valley everything turned upside down. Jessica was traumatized after she failed to save a girl which resulted in the girl falling off a cliff and dying. Elizabeth was badly burned from and electrical shock after, Devon Whitelaw (the guy Liz dumped Todd for) refused to help Elizabeth save Enid from a fiery death. The twins lost friends too. Olivia Davidson died after being crushed by a falling beam. This left her boyfriend, Ken Mattews, in deep depression that he still hasn't resurfaced from. The twins lost everything. Their house was destroyed, their down burned and crumpled. At least their school stood standing…other schools didn't

This takes us to where we are now. The Wakefields are staying in the Fowlers house because their house in ruins. The students from El Carro, a school that was destroyed, now attended Sweet Valley High and other surrounding high schools. And Jessica and Elizabeth both carry a lot more, mentally, then they have ever known. And that, changed everything.

Thanks for reading. This is Cait signing off...
