Reconciled

Part 3

In the kitchen on Sunday morning, Liz's parents approached her with a rather interestin thought.

"Elizabeth, dear, we were thinking. And we thought that it would be nice to have a welcome home party with some of your friends. And Jessica's of course. Steven's coming home, and it would be really great." Alice Wakefield started.

"Okay." Elizabeth said after a moments thought.

"We have thought of a great list. Maybe invite Todd, Tia, Andy, and that dear old Conner boy, and Megan." Liz stiffened.

"Okay." Liz agreed once more.

Conner walked in through the front door of his house when the phone rang.

It was Liz's mom.

"Oh, okay. Thanks for inviting, we'll be glad to go." Conner hung up the phone.

It was dinner and everybody was invited, but no one had arrived yet. Jessica decided to pick up her self esteen and wear a pleasted short skirt and tank top. Jessica thought. She walked into Liz's room, and saw her sleeping.

Jessica tapped Liz gently. "Liz wake up. It's dinner time."

Liz opened her eyes, and sat up. It was a three day weekend, she could sleep alot then. She got up and pulled on a pair or sporty, baggy army pants, and a tight white baby tee. She combed her hair, applied mascara and lip gloss all in ten minutes.

"Hey Todd." Jess greeted looking very surprised.

"Hey Jess." Five minutes later, the bell rang again with Conner, Tia, Andy, and Megan..

"Hey guys."Jess let them in and theyall entered the kitchen.

"Todd, you know Tia. This is Conner McDermott, and his sister Mega, and Andy Marsden." Just as Jess was finished introducing everyone, Liz walked into the kitched startled finding Todd and Conner in the same room.

Todd thought,

"Hey Liz." Todd said. "Hey Todd, Tia, Andy, Megan," Liz hesitated,"Conner."

"Liz."

"Okay, let's eat shall we Jess suggested breaking the tense atmosphere.

They all stood up and headed for the basement. Conner walked to Liz, grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the front door, but they never went through it.

"Conner..."Liz began.

"Liz, I asked my mom to get help, she's at a meeting right now."Conner admitted.

"Really?" she asked softly.

"Yeah. I miss you Liz. A lot. I-"Liz stopped him by kissing him. Conner was taken by surprise. Conner tightened his arms around her waist, and and kissed her back restlessly. Conner led her to the coach. Things we getting heavy when Conner realized her shirt was off. Liz didn't seemed to notice to, because Liz lifted her hand to Conner's face."I love you."

Conner kissed her palm, and replied, "I love you too." Conner bent his head low, but was interuppted by footsteps. They scrambled off each other, Conner helped Liz put her shirt back on, then sat on different chairs. They glanced at each other, then anticipated their unexpected visitor. Conner sneered inwardly.

Wilkins eyed both him and Liz.

"Liz, I gotta go. Got basketball practice early tomorrow. See ya." Todd looked back one more time and left

"Let's go to my room."Liz said, and led him upstairs to her room. She opened the door and led him to the bed. Before they even sat down they were kissing. After long minutes of tormenting himself, Conner stopped.

"What's wrong?"Liz asked breathelessly, very disarrayed. Conner looked at her lips and was very tempted to show her, but stopped himself.

"We should slow down before we end up naked." Liz blushed and nodded in silent agreement. He sat up fixed his shirt, lifted her layed her on the pillows and set her head against his chest, and they both fell asleep.

"The movie was awesome! Hey, where did Liz and Connor go?" Tia asked.

"I don't know. Maybe they went to talk upstairs." Andy suggested. Everybody started laughing, then suddenly stopped their faces turn serious, they ran upstairs, and silently knocked on Liz's door. When no one answered, Jessica opened it. It was dark, but all four of them could see the outline in the darkness. Liz was asleep on Conner. Andy turned on the light switch, but neither of them woke up. Andy walked up to Conner, and yelled in his ear.

"TIME TO MILK THE COWS!!" That was when Liz and Conner woke up, and struggled to sit up. Andy started laughing, and stopped when Conner shoved a pillow into his stomach. Tia smothered a laugh.

"Hey you two." Tia winked,"We were just about to leave. But we could stay."

Behind them, Megan was smiling like a dump idiot. Conner yawned and kissed Liz on the forehead.

"See you guys at the mall tomorrow."Liz reminded. They left, and Jess and Liz sat on the coach.

"What were you two doing?"Jessica demanded.

"Sleeping."

"Oh."Jessica said softly,"Anything else?"

Liz hesitated, "No." Then went upstairs back to bed."

Megan sat up very happy.

"Sweet Valley mall. Always the place to be."Jess said. Liz confided in private. Liz and Conner walked in the back of the group.

Another group of girls walked by Conner, eyeing him like candy."Conner I hate it when every girl looks at you."Liz said seriously, and softly.

Conner felt a rush of pleasure that she was jealous. He chuckled, his arm tightened around her. "I'm glad to know that you're jealous, although I don't know why. I don't like it either when every guy looks at you." He kissed her softly.

Liz still felt a little jealous."All those girls think that you're sexy, hot, and probably-" She was cut off by another kiss. Liz capitulated to the kiss, and her arms went around him. Liz ended the kiss realizing they were in public.

"Okay, I give up."Liz surrendered. they walked into a nice store caled 'Express'. Liz picked up a shirt and raisedit up to see how it would look on her.

"Very nice. Now lets see how easy it is to take off." Conner said too loudly, that girls that were look at him, and guys that were looking at her gaped, and turn away.

"Conner!" Liz tried to scold but started laughing.

"Sorry." he grinned. Conner walked behind Liz, arms behind her. Conner pulled one hand away, and picked up some kinky underwear with his index finger, and looked at Liz with one eyebrow raised with amused eyes.

"No way!"Liz choked with a laugh. They bought a couple of things then went to meet up with the rest of the group. They were at Armani Exvhange. Liz picked out the perfect outfit for the most perfect guy. A baggy silver top with a baggy pair of dress pants.

"Beautiful." One girl whispered softly behind Liz. The girls were pointing at Conner, unaware of Liz. Liz turned around.

"Excuse me, could you pass that shirt. The black one." none of the girls expected the beautiful, lovely blonde to talk to them.

"My boyfriend would like to try it on." Liz continued. She took the shirt from the girl's hands. "Thanx." she walked towards Connor. "Great look." she complimented and he grinned.

"I knew you'd like it. He went back to the dressing room, and changed. He bought the clothes and left. They met at Connor's house to watch a baseball game. The anthem was about to start. Conner thought it would be fun if Liz said with him. Connor suggested Liz start. So she .agreed.

"Oh say can you see..."she began, Connor gaped. Connor had expected her to sing bad, not like this. Tia, Andy, and Jessica gaped too. Every word that came out of her mouth was BEAUTIFUL. Conner didn't even notice it was his turn.

Elizabeth blushed.

"Why didn't you tell me you could sing like that?" Connor asked.

"You think I can sing?"

"Hey, if you can sing, does that mean I can sing too?" Jess asked. She sang the scale, and then everyone nodded in agreement.

"Thanx."Liz and Jess responded. Conner thanked the Lord for blessing him.
