One of those we support
By Richard J. Faykosh
Due to our last edition we give support for The Carpentersville trustee member we agreed to print upon his request the following. Even though we would also support him for Village President. This man I have gotten to know over the years. A man that would rather do things in a good clean way and in a good clean election, If you think that Kent will pass out anything negative about those he opposes your wrong because that is not his way. So in my mind when someone refuses to use a negative to get ahead, Should receive the support of us all. Because we would have an honest voice among the voices of the now current rumblings, Here is what he wants you to know..
Hello,
my name is Kent Baldwin.
I would like to tell you why I am running for village trustee.
I have lived here for about 25 years, and I love this town. I want to do something positive to help preserve what we have here that many village representatives don't see, such as our forest preserves, and other resources.
I would like to see the village spend our money, yes, I said, our money, because that's what it is, not theirs but ours, on something for the people.
A good example would be playgrounds in the forest preserve, not abridge going through the forest preserve.
We were told so many things in the last election, so many promises were made, and I have yet to see any of them held to.
I have also seen people being hit with laws of convenience; this needs to be looked into as well. I feel that I have accomplished a few things that help to qualify me for the position of trustee.
The flashing yellow light at Route 25 and Cherokee Roads is to be installed through petitions I had signed by residents of Carpentersville.
I also volunteered to knock on doors to help in Senator Rauschenberger's campaign for re-election.
We need open eyes and an open mind when doing things for the village; this I will at least make sure of. Katie is gone!
But not forgotten she will live on in all of us, in things we do and say. She would not want us to stop. Katie would find things to do, as should we.
(Katie was the young girl killed on route 25 where there now stands a flashing light.)
Then you might ask," why she had to go?"
a person so young, it's not fair. She went to a better place!
Where she can be at peace and play as she would like. Katie and children like her is a good reason to fight for the better things in our city of Carpentersville.
I know its time for a change. And we need to make it better for our children. Katie being lost is tragic to our city and we need to make things better for them.
Help me make it better!
Come join us February 22/4p to 6p At Old Country Buffet Springhill mall and meet Senator Rauschenberger.
Fund raiser for Kent Baldwin.
THANK YOU, KENT BALDWIN Any comments to this article send your replies

City Workers has no support from local papers!
By Richard Faykosh
It seems that not only does the city workers lack support from the city, neither does the people that live in the city!
So if you think that the buffoons that call themselves the city fathers gives a darn about you or your city your very wrong. It seems that they are spending your tax dollars like water. And you are paying for it.
Instead of setting a budget that would set aside a certain amount for future growth and things that will be needed in the future. They spend it on themselves.
To invest it and set up so that it will grow with interest they spend it away. They say that the new rec. center is going to make the city money.
Yes, more of your money from your hard earned living. Targets the youth to come and get a membership. When the services should be free! You already paid for the construction and the running of it with your taxes.
Now! They want you to get a membership? DA!
Are you stupid or what?
Then we know that by increasing the fines for traffic and such would net them twice as much. By adding police instead of a rec. center.
Now! They plan on building another Hemmings out past 90 on 31 where the old venture store was.
WHAT A FLOCK..
We have a homeless problem that has not been dealt with for over 50 years. Other city's are doing things to help there homeless, Why can't these greedy clowns do something. Elgin is a city that works backwards.
WAKE UP VOTERS.
Its time for new people all the way around. All new! Out with the old! American city of greed and untrust.
Then lets do not forget the city of Carpentersville:
Now!
These waste buckets need to be voted out and all new people put in also. Lets take them all out of town and tar and feather then. Because they need to be ran right out of town. But that would be too cruel to the chickens that will have to be plucked for the feathers.
Carpentersville city hall is worse then a chicken coop. And the decisions coming from there smells worse then the chicken poop from a coop. We need to clean out the coop people.

STORY ABOUT Doris, One OF OUR HOMELESS By R.J.
Sometimes one must act before the problems become harmful. And Doris could not just walk away from 8 years of marriage feeling that all of those wasted years on a man that abused her more and more. I asked her if she was not more afraid of this man then the wasted of 8 years. But she would not reply. We hope her well in her sad and abused life if she lives that long. We will feature a new story next month:

POEMS OF THE STREET
POEM # ONE
As our lives

BY R.J Faykosh 2/2/03

AS OUR LIVES TOUCH
I FIND THAT I NEED
TO PROTECT YOU
IN EVERY WAY I CAN
AS OUR LIVES ENTANGEL
IN THE BLISS OF LOVE
TO BECOME JUST ONE
IN EVERY WAY
AS OUR LIVES GET OLDER
I FIND IT HARD
TO DO THINGS OF OLD
IN EVERY WAY
BUT TO PROTECT YOU
IS PART OF LOVING YOU
IN EVERY WAY

POEM # TWO
She Walks
By R. J. Faykosh 2/2/03

SHE WALKS OUT THE DOOR
AND THE GLOOM
JUST INTENSIFIES
AS SHE WALKS OUT
THE TOW DOGS
BECOME SENTERY'S AT GUARD
AS SHE WALKS OUT
IN SILENCE THEY AWAIT
TO THE OPENING OF THE DOOR
BUT WHEN SHE RETURNS
EVERYTHING BECOMES NORMAL
AND ALL IS AT PEACE.
