More greatness From Carpentersville
By Richard J. Faykosh
Well,
here it is,
the start of a new year.
And already the city counsel is up to their ears in
problems. What will it take for this group
of Greatness to make the right decisions and get
things done. The audit should have been
done along time ago. Instead of dragging their feet
and getting things going. Now they
plan on loosing out again.

Like a swarm of losers this group cannot get things
going. Mrs. Moore has openly suggested that things
get started and the rest of the UN- Trustees
refuse to follow suit.

Perhaps the next elections should remove the players
from those wanting to get things done. This has
been a repeat for the past three years.
When will enough be enough?
It’s defiantly time for some change.
Because it’s obvious that this group cannot
get anything done except vote a raise for themselves.
That in this frame of time does not deserve it.
Instead they should be paying us for the wasted
time in meetings that nothing is getting done.
So I see a group of people setting on there hands
trying to decide the next topic to talk about then
after 7 hours decide to call it a night.
Still not getting the topic started.
Here is a topic for this group.

Quit playing around with our money.
And do your jobs or get the hell out of dodge.
The people Of Carpentersville are really
getting tired of this.
In the old days these people
would be considered for the things mentioned.
Riding out on a rail?
How about TAR and FEATHERS.
Carpet Baggers go home!
How about 'Your fired'.
Clean out your desk now!
And the now group has done nothing good
for our village.
They have not made one good choice in years.

STORY ABOUT ONE OF OUR HOMELESS
By R.J.
OH !
Was I excited,
then it settled down and I started looking at all the money
I would have to get and how much
I would have to collect for rents ECT.
It all looked good on paper
and I thought that I could do it provided
that the down payment could be affordable.
Here I am about to become a homeowner.
And I could just rent out these
rooms until I make enough to redo
the house as a single-family house.
Perhaps by then I would be married ready
to start that much wanted relationship.
Darn if this does not seem to be a good plan.
So, I went ahead and agreed to take over this house.
But right away I started to have problems
with different things like inspectors
and such. It seems that the previous owner
had money to take care
of these things. (To be continued)

"On God"
By Joyce

Oh, God, When I have food,
Help me remember the hungry.

When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless.
When I have A warm home,
help me remember the homeless.

When I’m without pain,
help me remember those who suffer.

And help us all,
not to take what we have for granted.

P.S. " If you have an angel story. Please!

POEMS OF THE STREET
POEM # ONE
HOLIDAYS OVER,

BY Richard Faykosh 1/1/04

New Years come,
New Years Gone,
Things must settle back to the Norm.
Put away that old Rum,
For the New Years All Done,
Things must get back to Form.
Take down the Tree,
Take down the Christmas Decor,
Pack it up for next Year.
Tree is packed away,
There's more space to be seen.
The Decor is packed away,
There is space galore.
Its all put away with no Fear.
HOLIDAYS OVER!
For this year it's ended.
Time to lay back and unwind.

POEM # TWO
It's like A Dream!

By Richard Faykosh 1/1/04

The Snow is falling,
Starting to cover the ground.
Getting deeper by the hour.
The wind is blowing,
Starting the snow to drift,
Alittle higher here then there.
The Children Dawn their winter ware.
Temperature begins to dip,
Winds are blowing Frigate cold.
The Children come back inside,
With noses cold red.
Setting by the picture window,
Looking out at the scene.
The children are playing in the warmth,
As I set and look out side.
It's like a dream.
