"TWO YEARS in Heaven"
By Joyce

Two Years in Heaven”
In loving Memory of My Dad (Robert Smith).
I said a prayer for you today,
I know God must have heard,
I felt the answer in my heart,
Although he spoke no word.
I did not ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn’t mind,
I asked him to send treasures,
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that he’d be near you,
At the start of each new day,
To grant you blessings,
And friends to share your way.
I asked for peace & happiness for you,
In all things great and small,
But it was for his loving care,
I prayed for most of all.
We love you & I miss you.
Joyce and Family! God bless and have a good day. LOVE JOYCE
P.S. " If you have an angel story. Please!
Send it to me. Any comments on this please
E-mail me. Thank You, With Love Joyce Email address

Ending the year on a sad note
By Richard.J.Faykosh

I was on my way home from work on
Thursday December 23rd. 2004. I had
caught a bus because I was very tired
from a night of work and Christmas
shopping the day before. I had got on
the bus to Springhill from the bus
depot. And someone mentioned that the
police had one lane of route #31 blocked
off. And someone4 said that they had found
a body in the river. I stated that I hope
not during the Christmas week. And being
that Christmas was only a day away. As we
drove past the police had opened up that
lane of traffic and all I saw was two
police Cars and a coroner’s office van.
It was down the street from the
Phillips 66 gas Station.

This was the same area where I had my
tent when I was homeless. Where I lived
there with fellow Homeless guys that also
had their own tents, Ricky and Charlie.

The next day I learned that there was a
slaying there and the information was not
forth coming and was being kept secret by
the police Dept. On Thursday we learned that
there was two suspects and that one was
found in Memphis Tenn.

I also learned that the other suspect was
not found and thought that person may also
have been killed. The homeless man found
was Mr. Rick Allen Walker that was homeless
and lived in the same site that I did.

And that his neck was cut. The homeless man
killed was 36 years old. There were several
other homeless people living in the same area.
This is all that has been released.
But Homeless people will find places out of
site from on lookers. If they can find the
material to build a tent they will.
And they will try to keep some of what little
they may have there in the tent. Extra
food, tools to cut wood or dig holes.
Things you might need in camping. They will
stay there even in the coldest of nights.
I understand that the same goes for
Rick Walker. He was a worker, and that he
did find work at times.

I’m not sure if we spoke because when
your homeless last and middle names are
not that important. In fact when your homeless
there is a lot of things that are not
that important. I hope at this time we find
out what really did happen and it’s sad
that the GREAT AMERICAN CITY Now has
6 homeless deaths to its credit.

When will the City Of Elgin get serious
about doing something in helping the
homeless community? Don’t you think its
time to do something? It would seem that
people would be tired on how the city and
how the general public treat the homeless.
Not all of the homeless are useless.
There is a percentage that could make a
turnaround with the guidance and help that
the city could muster.

If you’re tired of seeing and hearing
about the homeless problem and really
wish to get some answers, Email me and I
would love to came and talk to your group.
Because it’s a very important subject with
me. And I would love to talk with you and
your group to help solve some of the homeless
problems.

Do you think that you would like to do something this year to help?

POEMS OF THE STREET
POEM # ONE
Christmas is over:

By Richard Faykosh 12/31/04

It's the day after christmas.
And all through the house.
Not a creature is wishing.
For there is crumbs even for a mouse.
The stockings no longer hang.
Now their only empty space.
For Santa’s come and gone.
Reindeer and all.
I’m now wearing my presents.
And enjoying the cheer.
Christmas is over.
For another year.

POEM # TWO
Sun shining through! :

By Richard Faykosh 12/31/04

Sun shining through,
Thin layers of ice,
Crystal colors reflect,
In shapes of wonder.

Sun shining through,
Cut glass,
Colors of wonder,
Reflect in the room.

Sun shining through,
Crystal glass,
Reflecting colors,
Dance all about.

Sun shining through,
Colors of wonder.

I hope you dance.” “Don’t drive faster, then your guardian angel can fly!!” P.S. “ If you have an angel story. Please! Send it to me. Any comments on this please E-mail me. Thank you; With Love Joyce Email address TRINITY20@aol.com Area News : BY. R. J. Faykosh Now! Last year we reported how the areas only possible homeless center is now being held up in the courts. And how it seems that the cities in the area keep refusing in helping the homeless. It’s sad that in a country as ours we still fight each other in helping the homeless. What would Jesus say to the cities that will not help the homeless? It seems to me that cities in the area could help the homeless and, the Poor out in some way. Cities all around the area have open storefronts that could be used as warming stations for the poor. Then why are the churches not doing more to help? The only churches that are helping the homeless are those that is with P.A.D.S. (Public, Action, to Deliver, Shelter) And Saint Joseph’s church with their food hand out on Friday afternoon. Are the only people doing anything to help. And I’m sure PADS is getting a grant to do what they do with donations. But who else is there? Oh! Yea. Almost forgot the way side Center. But what the homeless really need is a 24-hour center that is open 24 hours a day. And if by some chance we get hit with a major emergency people would have a place to go. Now if an emergency occurred where would you go? **page2 Police Station? Fire Dept.? And how many people could they handle? Where a 24-hour shelter would be also a choice to go. And since its 24-hour someone would always be there. And if it was set up to help the homeless and other emergencies it would be a definite positive thing to have in any area. So what is wrong with a shelter near you? What are you afraid of? Are you afraid that you will be helping people get a grip on their lives? Or are you so hung up on the appearance of homeless people in your area. I met a homeless man that walked around in a three-piece suit and carried a brief case. He looks very much like a lawyer. And you have a certain thought how a homeless person looks and you just may be very wrong with that thought. With everything going on in the world when were involved in a 36-year war we need to set up places to go to in an emergency. Believe me we are not safe from attack yet. And it will be a long while before we are safe. And our soldiers over seas are doing a great job and we need to support them as well as setting things up here to make us safe. That includes shelters that can hold many people. If there were a series of shelters in the higher ground in New Orleans they would have had a better grip on the emergency. Look around you and get your head out of your shell. You live in a world that is not too nice, and your being the worse of them by not helping, those around you. When helping them now could assist you in your survival of the future, if we got hit like New York City or like New Orleans where would you go? What would you do besides die? You, the people in the area need to look at it and think for yourselves. I have and I will be putting a game plan in place. And a series of things to do to protect my family. I hope this starts something positive in your lives, and gets you thinking. Any ideas: TRINITY20@aol.com Thank you! Da! Bears Chicago Bears Da! Here I set on a hill looking around, And listening to the areas sound. Notice the birds fly overhead, I wish to be there instead. Turning my head I do see, Many animals there are free. It was a simple date an time, As I set and hear a chime. And I set in peace. Y O U C A N S P O N S E R T H I S P A G E !
