TRINITY NEWS
OCTOBER EDITION 2004
I felt the answer in my heart,
Although,
he spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind,
I asked him to send treasures,
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that he'd be near you,
At the start of each new day,
To grant you peace & happiness.
But it was for your loving care that
I prayed the most of all.

For being there for us over the Years.
When I first met Robert I was working as
a auto repair shop manager.
He came in and asked for a job. And I told him
that we paid by the job. If a car came
in for repair he would get paid doing
that job. We had charged $25.00 per hour
so he would get $10.00 per hour worked.
And a lot of times we did not have much
work. Being that we were new in the city.
Robert would come in and check to see if
there was work for the day if not he
would just go back home. Robert and I
did build up a friendship with the
owner of the shop.We became a small family.
Then one day the Boss informed us that he
would be closing the shop. Robert went on
to work at another place. I was glad
that he found another job. As I also
did too.
It was a few years down the road that we
met again. This time when I stood
before the closed doors of the Public
Action to Deliver Shelter at the
Salvation Army Building. There he stood
at the door cold and drunk. I was just
cold and not sure that this is what I
wanted to do. After the doors opened
the warmth that came up the stairway
convinced me that this is where I would
stay the night. I signed in and set up my
pad and bedding. I got my things to
take a shower and got in line.
I then started to mingle with the
people. That’s when I re-introduced
myself To Robert. We sat at the table
talking and then two others joined in on
our talk. Robert was there in the
beginning of Trinity. But it was the
other two that became a major part at
that time.
The next morning we were awoken at
7:00am. We picked up our bedding and
pads and put them away. We washed our
pads and pillows and grabbed a cup of
coffee and rolls, ate drank and walked
out the door. I had taken the other two
guys with me to Mc Donald's for coffee
and to make plans to start Trinity (it
was not named at this time yet. But by
the time our coffee clutch was done
Trinity was born.
We went to a place called the wayside
Center at 9:00am. And I signed in
talked to the head of the center and
received a locker, A place to wash my
clothes and shower, also a place to get
phone messages and mail, a place that I
could use for these services.
I had lunch there and I went to the
library to get a library card. (TO BE CONTINUED)

For being there for us over the Years.

Autumn is showing,
It's in the air,
Leaves are blowing,
The season is not rare.
Northern Breeze blowing,
As colored leaves fall,
The change in motion,
It's A chilly time.
Northern Breeze flowing,
Autumn makes her call,
Add on the lotion,
Listen to the wind chimes.
Autumn is rolling,
The wind like a wall,
It's just a notion,
A season of mimes?
Open the curtain,
Let the sunshine in,
The Morning is started,
The day is amend.
Open the door,
Let the sun light flow,
The day is started,
It's all a glow.
Open the window,
Let the breeze blow,
The day has started,
It's all unfolding slow.
Open the day,
Let it mend,
All fresh and new,
To flow within.
