SEPTEMBER EDITION 2003
and judges should give young men and women that go against the law a choice of the military or jail time.
And that when you turn 17 to register for the draft that you will be entered in at 18 years of age.
This would muster up the needed force that we may need in the future.
Carpentersville
It seems that a few of the residents in old Carpentersville are a bit upset to learn that they will be getting a half way house in the area.
This halfway house will house felons from prison.
Some of these could be homeless people that had no where to turn except to crime to get off the streets of Elgin.
This is only the more reason that Elgin should build homeless center/ housing.
Perhaps the residents of old Carpentersville should pressure Elgin
in doing the right thing instead of complaining about
the half way house.
Carpentersville Part 2:
A group of people in Carpentersville says a recall
is needed to rid Carpentersville of its now over paid untrustees.
ELGIN:
Still in need of ways to make money to pay for those projects that they started.
Perhaps charging more for the recreation center fees,
increasing fines for drivers using cell phones in the city limits,
Residents of Elgin are becoming very unhappy with city decisions.
That has been Elgin's problems for years.
Dundee Township:
The bike path needs some despite repair.
Cracked asphalt and new gang graffiti decors the path.
Perhaps more officers need to patrol the bike path.
And perhaps safety rules need to be put up in more then one language.
I have seen several bike collisions
when people do not realize that you need to stay
to your right when walking, skating, boarding, biking.
Tickets should be passes out.
Perhaps violence and property damage could be dealt with.
East & West Dundee:
The traffic lights need to be reset so that the traffic on Rt.72
can flow better through the construction dates.
West Dundee:
Since traffic lights need to be reset.
Lets look at those lights on Rt. 31 as well.
Traffic going into Spring Hill Mall has become very small.
And the traffic should be adjusted for the flow elsewhere.
Homeless Problems Have increased:
Among Hispanic's and that even though the homeless population has increased
this year means that jobs are harder to find for the unskilled people.
And that some needed job training and services is required.
But as we all know Elgin will not provide for these services.

One or those companies is Best Buy.
So I say if they want to cut their cost by lying off workers perhaps they need to move their stores to those countries where they have hired office personal and take the business out of the USA.
Perhaps A boycott should happen. Since they are going broke anyway.
And Best Buy is not the only company doing this.

My old landlord/boss had three sleeping room houses and two of them were in Carol Stream.
When I got there He told me that he had one room open in the house I use to live in.
It was a front room a bit small for $75.00 a week.
That he needed one-week deposit for me to get the room.
It took me about a week to do this but I did get it done.
This took me off the streets and back into a place to live.
Those wonderful people at E.C.C. alternatives program made me a success story because I worked hard at getting myself back off the street.
So now I had to gather all of my now scattered belongings and bring them to one place it took a little time to do this as well.
I had 5 or 6 fish tanks of fish at the E.C.C.
campus in the offices there.
I had my now v.w. rabbit full of things.
And my camper was full also.
I had things still at the house I stayed at in Cary Illinois and needed to travel there to get it.
The car (V.W.) was not running well so an ex boss gave me a ford wagon to drive and that helped a lot.
I was working a lot because I was not going to let that slow down.
And my Dog Tron was a lot happier also..

Waking in the morning,
As sunshine’s through the cracks,
In the curtains that hang,
Warms even the soul.
To awake in the brightness of you,
That caress even my soul,
With love and care,
That only you can hold.
To look upon your face,
Is a fine embrace,
Of all the love we hold,
To embrace each other forever,
To speak seems to hinder,
What time we do have,
It’s better to embrace our love,
In silence to hold.
Our love is like a flower,
Forever to behold.
Now that your older,
Remembering younger days,
When you thought at the time was hard and gray.
But today it brings you smiles.
Now that your older,
Looking back at younger days,
When you were so much bolder,
In much of your ways,
But you could not say that you were colder.
Now that your older,
Thoughts of younger days,
Is like opening folders,
Visions upon visions in maze,
Things that brings happiness to its holder.
Now that your older,
Seeing how foolish at times you were,
Brings A completeness of life closer.
