You can save ten lives if you give blood to the Red Cross.

My birth certificate dictates that I am Valerie Anne born on 02-19-1979 at 2:32 a.m. in Monroe, WI but those who know me call me val and various other profane words.

that makes me a whopping 21. God, i feel old. People born in 1982 can legally buy cigarettes this year.

Hell, why don't they just legalize all drugs so we get rid of some of the crack heads in the world instead of them buying legal cigarrettes and getting cancer then going on medicade and having the state support them. Instead, let them over dose on crack so we don't have to deal with them. Works for me.

I am a resident of the fine ciry, err...town of Platteville, Wisconsin. For all those who don't know, that is in the south west corner of the state. Grant County is the poorest county in WI and also has the highest amount of child abuse in WI. Sad, isn't it?

I go to college here at the UW. Not Madison, mind you, but a hell of a lot cheaper. I transfered in from Highland COmmunity College in Freeport IL in August of 99. My major is Business-Admin Marketing with minors in Graphic Arts and Journalism and any thing else I may come up with in the next semester or so.

One day I am going to chef school. Then maybe grad school. I hope to stay in the state of Wisconsin, mostly to piss off my family, no just kidding, I genuinely like the state and MOST of the people. Exception to that rule is anyone who says Illinois and prounounces the "S." They are instantly IDIOTS and not worthy of my time.

I want to own my own restaurant someday. Until then, I want to have a job I enjoy. My potential career paths include, CIA agent, cop, EMT, landscaper, entrepenuer, journalist, photographer, computer guru, and gasp, to those who know me, I have even been toying with the idea of education. Oh the shame. Oh well, perks in that include guaranteed 3 months of vacation for 9 months of crap.

I also plan to learn sign language and how to play Euchre before I die. Maybe sky dive and have sex on an airplane too.

My interests include, music, reading, cooking, driving, thinking, shopping, gardening, walking and soccer. I love to cook and grill. I read lots of things, magazines, books, newspapers, flyers, anything that is around. I learn lots of strange things by reading.

Music. The physical representation of a persons soul. God I love music. I don't think I could live without it. I can't honestly name an all time favorite, but my current happy cd's are Dave Mathew's Band--Crash, Jump, Little Children--Magazine, Guster--I can't remember the name of the cd, Ben Folds Five--ditto, My special mix cd, and Sarah Machlauchlin--Mirror Ball and I know that is spelled wrong. Those are the cd's that see my cd player the most.

I love all sorts of music--Hard/classic rock, classical, blues, jazz, progressive rock, country, etc. The only music I don't really care for is R&B and rap. But other than that, I like a little bit of everything.

I have two brothers, one sister, two parents, many cats, one dog and numerous annoying and unprofitable pigs. Paul is 18 and a graduate of Le-Win High School. He is going to Illinois Central College in Peoria, IL to work with the Caterpillar Internship Program. Alison is 16 and a junior in high school. Dave is 14 and in 8th grade. Mom, (Theresa) and Dad (Bob) are 48 and are teachers and professional farmers respectively. Mom just started graduate school at Northern Illinois University at DeKalb, IL. I am very proud of my whole family.

Many inbred cats occupy our farm and we have a Border Collie named Sam. Then there are those damn pigs...oh well another day for that one...

I don't drive the Tempo anymore. I got rear ended not long ago and it totaled my car so now I drive an '85 Buick Park Avenue. It has over 123K on it and god I hope it keeps running ok. If I had all the money in the world to get what I wanted, I would buy a classic Mustang..a 69 and it would be in mint condition, fire engine red, 5 speed, not a convertible. I think if I can come up with the money, I will buy a Honda Civic or a Chevy Monte Carlo. Either way they are both nice cars...just too bad I am dead ass broke.
