Hiya everyone!
Yeah, I know, the subject is pretty weird right?
But what the hell, I'm drinking rootbeer right now,
and I do like it:) Now, I better talk about
silverchair eh? of course. Okie, well the song of
the week for people who know it, is Punk Song #2..
well my feelings about that song are, that I relate
to it. Especially the "Why are you any better then
anyone else why are you so good?" part, because in
my everyday life I know people personally who are
just so like, sure that they are better then everyone
else and wonderful and all this crap and they really
want to be treated like they are the best person alive.
Also I really relate to the "No one cares or understands"
part, because that's how I feel, I truly don't think that
people care about me really, and a lot more of the song
I relate to also, like even though people try to hurt me
and make me feel bad, I just don't let it get to me.. at
least I try.. But since it's late, and I'm sopost to be
up by 7am I can't go into it. If you REALLY wanna know
what I think, line for line about it you can email me.
But I highly doubt anyone wants to. A few more things though...
Daniel: You're right, they do have a few more singles
left off of Freak Show, maybe they will do a single
that everyone will agree, even them, that it should be
a single. Who knows! Speaking of singles, does everyone
agree that Freak was a good single? I personally think
that it was, cause it showed off silverchair’s more heavier side,
which they are getting more and more into right? And also,
I was just thinking that since it is called Freak, people who
didn't really know what the new album was called or whatever
could have it easier and just think "Oh, Freak is on Freak Show,
I need to get that" I dunno this is probably just some stupid late night
thought.. *heh*
Amanda: About Undecided, I totally understand what you
meant about how that song kinda relived the stress of
your mom and you, or your parents and you having a
fight. Same thing here, ‘cept I usually put on Leave
Me Out. But I'm so thankful that I have music to get
me through some really hard times, when I've been
really upset, or depressed. I somehow feel like there
is a song for every mood, or feeling that I am feeling,
and then when I listen to it when I am feeling like
that, or even after I can think "Hey, I'm not alone.
I'm not the only one who feels this way"
Anyways I better go now,
Later,

hi guys =)*
how is everyone today? ;) kelly had said "i don't want to pick a song for
silverchair to cover cuz i think the band has to pick themselves cuz one
reason i love silverchair so much is cuz there is passion in their music.
if you can't relate to and you don't love a song you can't play it with
passion."
it seemed to me that they had the most passion for their music when they
played 'minor threat' the last 3 times i saw them ;) the songs off
frogstomp & freakshow seemed kinda meaningless and staged... but it was
still a good show. but i like covers and well, daniel's version of
'roadhouse blues' was hysterical ;)
okay, and heidi asked about punk song #2 and i'm actually going to write
about a song meaning today ;) i love that freakin' song - and the punky
sound to it ;) i think the lyrics mean that you shouldn't care what other
people think and that no one is really any better than you are ;) it's a
good life philosophy ;)
anyway, daniel said that frogstomp had 5 singles... can i ask what they
were? because i only remember tomorrow, pure massacre, and israel's son
being singles! although, i think they were considering releasing shade,
that still doesn't make 5 ;) oh hey... and that anjela chick that likes
mxpx - write me!
take care,
