Hey! Well I really can't believe how long this list has been going on,
it's kinda funny it started out almost as a joke or something, cause I really
didn't know how to run a mailing list. But I was bored and so I deicied I'd just
try my best and now we're at our 14th issue! And I think that's really cool that
it's come this far. Now, I'm going to add a new feture, which will be sort of
another thing to talk about each week. I will be adding a question of the week
feture. So, this week's question is what's your happiest silverchair related
memory? Thought that might be an interesting starter. Now don't just stop posting
and just answer that question, but that's just something you can talk about, as well
as the song of the week is. Speaking of the song of the week, next weeks song will be
Cicada. I know almost everybody probably hates this song, but I just thought it might be
an interesting one to talk about the meaning of it to you. Well hope to see you all
posting next week, this issue actually had a pretty good posting turn out (thanks guys!)
Now on with this issue..

Hey everybody!
Well frist I wanted to talk about some other things before we get into the Pop Song
desscution. I was wondering does anyobdy have the Kerrang magazine from like Two
weeks ago I think it was, maybe just one week ago, I don't remember, but it had a
silverchair artical or intervew or something. Normaly I buy Kerrang every week but
I didn't get to (of course) that week. So I'm really pissed now that I can't get
ahold of it! I would be happy to pay anybody who could get me a copy of that one.
Also, do any of you Americans on this list think that we'll ever get to see the
Cememtery video? I'm really starting to give up hope on seeing it, unless thru a
trade or something. Also if you know anybody who likes silverchair, but isn't on
this list, please tell them about it! I'm really interested in getting more members!
Now about Pop Song.. well the first few times I heard it, I didnt' really connect
it with anything cause like I don't have any close friends that use drugs or anything,
and I have friends that drink, but like only once in a while at partys and stuff like
that. But the way I feel about it now is totally diffrent, see I started associtaing
it more so with just having a friend that stated acting weird, and you tried to help
them but they wouldn't stop acting the way they did, so then you felt like you had to
move on. So the way I think about it, is kinda like knowing they were doing something
wrong and trying hard to move on with your life, but that they used to be important
to you, so it still kinda bothered you, the stuff that they did, and it was hard to
move on. That's just my veiw on it. And I can relate to that veiw. But the Drugs and
Alcohal part, to me, could stang for any other addiction that a person might have you know?
Alright well that's just my thoughts on it.

Pop Song For Us Rejects makes me feel kinda good. It's got a real cool
beet and I love the music up until the "You died yesturday" and some
other part that has the same music; I forget what Daniel says. The
song's kinda sad in a way cos that's what the people that don't mess
around with drugs and alcohol feel like.

i think that 'pop song for us rejects' is a reely meaningful song.
whenever i play it i think of everyone that i know that do drugs. there
are some reely important peeple in my life that drugs held a major part
in their life. my best friend's boyfriend went to phoenix for rehab for
like 6 months. he came back and was sober. then he got high again.
yesterday he had like 35 days sober and i found out he got high again. it
just breaks my heart to hear about that. so, i put on pop song last nite
and i couldn't help but cry. it's hard to listen to it and not think of
all the peeple that are struggling with drugs. doing it just every once
in awhile is kewl and a different story but on a daily basis, that
worries me, ya know? i guess u can call me straight edge but that's how i
feel. so anyway, the song has alot of meaning for me.
