Subject: the weird, twisted stuff in my head..

Hiya!

Okie, well since this week is not a week of silverchair news to be posted on my list, in the *news* section I am going to just tell you all some things I have heard about silverchair lately and they are:
1.silverchair are now doing condom commercials.. what's the deal with that? it sounds pretty odd to me, I mean has anyone on here actually heard about this?
2.someone posted on the FML or maybe it was The Doorknob or
No Association (the last two are good lists, down with the fml!!) but somebody said they saw the Cemetery video on MTV.. now I dunno if it was MTV Europe or what, they didn't say. I missed 120 minutes last weekend and so I didn't get to check to see if it premiered.
Now last issue Christy was talking about Cemetery, and how it shouldn't be a single. Well I agree with that I think it was a very bad choice for a single..not for some of the reasons a lotta people think such as it will be like No Doubt's "Don't Speak" or Bush's "Glycerin", or it will bring in more teenies, cause I don't. I mean the teenies couldn't understand in their small brains about the song's meaning. And it has a DEEP meaning.. I mean it's such a dark, sad song.. and as I've said before it's one of my favorites. But I think that it's just like not radio/mtv type stuff, which I think is a GOOD thing, but all the same they should have put "The Door" or something catchy and something a dumbass could just go "oh this is a cool song" or something, it's not like I don't think that "The Door" is a good song or whatever I like it alright.. but it's just not my favorite song.. Anyways moving on, it's time for me to add to my ever long post here, about my thoughts on "No Association". Well this song, when I first heard Freak Show was the first song that I kept on repeating. It reminds me of how I feel about this asshole that I know..Who I want nothing to do with, who never wanted to know before until he wanted something from me..but at the same time I thought he was cool in a weird way and I wanted to be like him..and he kept on saying that he cared about me but it was totally a false emotion that he was telling me he felt..and he majorly screwed with my head and my life and stuff.. I just wish that he would leave me alone and stop trying to fuck up my life. Alright now I will shut up and leave some room here for the rest of yr posts.

hi there - shiny happy silverchair peoples!
i have a pearl jam bootleg called 'Anxiety' and i would like to sell it... it's a double cd and i paid $58 for it or something rediculous like that ;) it was recorded at the san jose stadium in california on 4-Nov-95 and it is actually a really good bootleg. the cds are in good condition and they don't skip or anything... i just need some cash and i don't listen to it anymore ;) so if anyone would be interested, let me know... and give me an idea how much you'll pay for it, kay?

now, since this is a silverchair list... i was kinda wondering if i could venture a question for everyone to answer ;) *what song would you most like to hear silverchair cover?* i know that's not really original or anything, but i think it's interesting to find out people's answers! if i could hear them playing ANYTHING, i'd want to hear them play "wicked" as covered by KoRn with chino from the deftones ;) i want them to cover that - not the ice cube version ;) that's just what i think ;) anybody else?

I agree with Christy.....cemetery should not have been a single.....yeah cause like i think it's actually a bit too radio friendly but it attracts more of the wrong crowd....it doesn't really represent silverchairs music as a whole as much as slave and freak do.   It's too mellow compared to everything else and they just might get ripped off on it.  I mean if someone was listening to the radio and theyr'e all shit this song rocks....they might notbe into that harder rock and listen to the album and be  like damn this is way too heavy.  So it's just not the right song to have chosen....i don't think abuse me was a good one either.  It sure as hell caught a lot of peoples attention especially parents!!  Mine didn't care but some were all abuse me eh??  What's with this band.  Had to out and explain it all.  Well I think I've said enough

christy's right about the single thing. " cemetery" should not have been a single and I FEEL SO FUCKING VIOLATED everytime i hear it on the radio followed by some bitch dj saying "oh he is so hot".  since when is silverchair a "he"?  wouldn't silverchair be a "they"?  there are three members but it shouldn't fucking matter cuz you can't see it on the radio.  and everytime i hear "tomorrow" they tell me what a cool video it is.  uhhhh...am i missing something?  how come my radio doesn't show the video?  sorry for bitching.  ok "cemetery" doesn't make a good single because it's too quiet and special and in a way intimate, only a few people should hear it at once.  it actually has a message unlike most radio "gems".  maybe i should just kill my radio (i've already did it to my television!) but then i'd never hear new stuff and that was how i heard of silverchair.  ok.  enough.  bye.  love, kelly.
