as individuals because it's been part of our lives for so long.I don't

"Yes,I think that has got a lot to do with it just being a little more
sceptic of peoples motives."

Tell me about your cure for jetlag...
"I geneerlly take alot of sleeping tablets on the plane and set my watch
to what ever time it is at the destination we are headed so i can try to
adjust immediatly.Then pretty mcuh keep takeing the tablets whilest i am
away.It really works."
Do you regret doing the ver version of the Clash's "London Burning" on
the "Burning London:A tribute to the Clash?"
"No,I would only regret something that didn't have integrity behind it
and wasnt sincere when we recorded it.It was done in the spirit of doing
a version of a song that was an insperation for me.It was more just
fun.It wasn't a desperate grasp for credibility."
What is the most punk rock thing you have ever done?
"When i was 11 years old,me and my friend went a sparyed the Grandstand
in newcastle(Sydney Aus.)And i wrote 'Sex Pistols' and he wrote
'AC/DC'.I have matured a bit since then and don't do anthing sillyanymore."
Would you raher go to a huge party thrown by your record company or stay
in your hotel room?
"Stay in my room!Those partys just feel to overcrowded and everyone
wants to talk and talk about thing i don't want to talk about.I just
find them too conjested and crazy.I like too talk about stuff like music
and animal liberation.But most of the time I don't really want to talkat all."
What is the best piece of advice you father ever gave you?
"One time this guy wanted to fight me at school when i was about 13.My
dad told me to get a pocket of loose change and when he came to fight
me,to throw it in this face.It worked."
When was the last time you were in an art gallery?
"When we were in amsterdamn about four months ago.I went to the Van Gogh
Museum.I have been there before but i wanted to go again."
When was the last time you were at a church?
"When i was a pageboy at a wedding when i was six.I have my own beliefs
and i don'y have anything against people who belive in god or people who
don't.I just don't go because i don't think it's very exciting."
If you were god for five minutes,what would you do?
"I ould make every person more compassionate.I'm not saying that ina
preaching manner,as in alot of way's I could be more compassionate.It is
a facet of my personality i am improveing and I think other people
should improve there levels of compassion towrds people and animals."
Have you ever had a guy come on to you?
"Yeah,it happened twice: once when i was at school-which was bad-and
another which wasn't bad...this guy came up to me on the street and
asked me to go out with him and started touching me in a sexual way.I
just said "No thank you.I am going home."
What is your idea of hell?
"A day of interviews with the european press,I have nothing against
them,it's just I can't understand what they ar talking about.And it
maked me feel stupid."
Do you belive in 'eye for an eye'?
"In someways I do.But i don't think the death penalty is the answer.It
depends on the motive of the murder.Some people kill for a reason I can
understand.Even though I wouldn't do it my self.For example,if you
parents had sexually abused you all your life and you murder them,you
shouyld not be excused for the killing,but you should not have to suffer
the death penalty either.If someone goes and murders a seven year old
girl for the sake of it then I think they should get the death penatly
as compared to keeping them in a jail is just a waste of tax payersmoney."
Have you watched 'Pet Rescue' and cried?
"Not really,beacuse the animals alsways get rescued.If they die I might."
Who is the one person in a band you respect?
"Someone I have alot of respect for is Ian Mckey from Minor Threat and
Fugazi.But i never met hin so i don't know if he is a nice guy or not.We
haven't met a band that has been fucked,everyone we met has been really
nice.I havne't really developed any strong bond's with anyone in bands.I
don't know why,I just haven't."
