       Annie's Suitcase Math
Directions: Print out this page and solve the
                       problems using numbers, and
                       drawing pictures.

1. If Annie's red suitcase weighed 23 lbs, Molly's blue suitcase
    weighed 18 lbs, Duffy's green suitcase weighed 25 lbs, and
    Tessie's yellow suitcase weighed 29 lbs, how much did the:
 
        a. Blue and Red suitcase weigh altogether?
        b. Blue and Yellow suitcase weigh altogether?
        c. Green and Red suitcase weigh altogether?

2. How much more did the Yellow suitcase weigh than the Blue?
3. How much less did the Blue suitcase weigh than the Green?

4. Molly packed 24 Beanie Babies, 8 pairs of shoes, 11 pairs of
     pajamas, and 25 different sweatshirts.  How many things did
     Molly pack that she could wear?

5. How many shoes is 8 pairs?  Draw the shoes and circle the
     pairs.

6. If Annie has 16 shoes in all, how many pairs does she have?

7. If Duffy could only pack cylinder shaped items in her suitcase,
     name 5 things that she will be able to pack for the tour.

8. If Annie can only pack rectangular prisms in her suitcase, name
    5 things that Annie can pack.

9. If Tessie can only pack cube shape items in her suitcase,
     name 5 things that Tessie can pack.

10. If Molly can only pack spheres in her suitcase, name 5 things
      that Molly can pack.

(Extra credit: Draw the orphan's suitcases with their geometric
    items inside!)
