Info- uses threaded brake pads. Requires 990 mounts.
Personal comments- Soon after Dia tech cam out with there improved verson of there great 990 brakes the 996, I baught one for the rear. Their new verson was alot easier to adjust the brake pad to the rim, buy using a threaded brake pad instead a post liek 990 dose. Provides same great braking power as the 990. Also I purchased a fiesta Pack. Which incluses green brake pads, spring adjusters, new springs, and a few other things.
I gave Dia tech's 996 Hombre brakes a 9 out of 10.
personal comments- I run shimano's DX brake on my racing bike. It provides great stoping power. can be adjusted easly, and the lever has 3 settings that can be changed quickly. Definently a great brake for racing.
I give shimano's DX brake and lever a 10 out of 10.
I gave Odessey's Modulever a 8 out of 10 (because of trouble with installing) but 10/10 since its been in.
personal comments- Sun des part one is designed to further enhance yoru braking system. By useing 2 seperate cables instead of 2 to 1 like normal set ups use. Causes less streching. and more power. Was easy to install.
I gave Sun Ringle's DES Par 1 a 10 out of 10
I give Dk's Slick cable a 9 out of 10
personal comments- I run Odessey's Slick cable on my racing bike. Its a very slick and smoth cable/casting would recremend to anyone to use. One tip is to cut the cable with a hack saw.. otherwise it is quite a pain to use wirecutters and then get the casting unpinched.
I gave Odessey's Slick cable a 9 out of 10
