Forgive me for doing so but I've found myself putting you on a throne.
Why you ask? The whole story can never be known.
The Spirit that's in you is what I cherish the most;
and I know that because of that no man can boast.
I listen to you every word when we talk
and I sit back in puter chair and I laugh and I rock.
You talk back as if we have always been friends;
and I pray that this friendship will never end.
Though miles apart and faces not seen,
I think of you often and with a smile I beam !
For you do not judge me or my faults.
You live a life for Jesus that is devote.
So you see--The more time I spend with you, the thing I see,
is that your becoming more like Jesus by being down on your knees.
You say , "God, all I want to do is serve you" and you've done well be this,
for you've touched my heart and at times I've felt bliss.
Now I know that it is not you that I cherish the most,
but the spirit within which no man can boast.
Just know my friend beyond a shadow of doubt,
your light burns bright within and throughout.
Becoming more like Jesus is my desire too
and I know that one day this will be true.
For the loving Father who sits on the throne
has given me that same light that can't be overthrown.
And for that I am thankful and know one day I'll see,
our loving Father in heaven smiling at me.
But for now he's given me a friend that has given so much,
so my prayer for you is that you will know you have HIS touch !!
