The Car that would not DIE

My Honda
This page is in honor of the best of the seven cars that I have owned, my
1993 Honda Civic

As you can see from the pictures, that maroon color is not among the most masculine, but the car has been so good to me that I forgive it this one FLAW.

When I got the car from my brother, he had already put about 70,000 miles on it. Since then I have more than doubled that, and the car has mostly been problem free. Cold Chicago winters, city driving, expressways, high-speed turns, people punching the door of the car because of traffic, this car has been able to handle it all. It even coped with several fender benders, although the fiberglass front hood crumpled pretty good when I rear-ended that other car. The only items I have replaced have been the brakes and front axles. In other words, regular maintenance, such as tune-ups and oil changes. No major work. And, of course, the battery after I leave the lights on all day.

These days, I'm afraid to buy anything other than a Honda because of how this car has been an absolute rock of stability.
