BLAIR: Be careful with a horse like this. You can’t spook him, he gets very, very skittish.

TODD: Okay, I get the picture. (backs away a step)

BLAIR: Why.....why did you buy this for me?

TODD: It’s no big thing. One time you started to tell me a story about this fantasy that you had when you were a little girl. About this horse that you could just magically ride away from all your troubles on. Besides, you two have the same attitudes.

BLAIR: (not thrilled with the comparison) Me and the horse?

TODD: You’re reckless. Nobody’s going to tell you where to go. (she likes that) That’s why..that’s why when you said that....that you weren’t going to take any more chances....(she looks down) Blair if you stop taking chances you wouldn’t be you. You go in at everything full speed, as fast as you can. (genuinely) I envy you. In fact that’s what Marty figured she and I had in common, we were both scared to death.

BLAIR: Of what, Todd?

Scene break

(music has gone from sweet to sultry, they are standing face to face very close together, sexual tension is in the air)

BLAIR: Come on Todd, tell me what are you afraid of.

(They stare at each other passionately, he abruptly grabs her, kisses her deeply, they pull back, staring at each other. The camera does an extreme close up of his eyes only, full of lust, then hers with fire, then back to his and then she dives into him, camera moves over to the horse)

Scene break

(camera pans back from the horse to them locked in a clinch, he breaks away)

TODD: (huskily) You sure this is what you want?

BLAIR: Yes, you? (he kisses her instead of answering, she pulls back) Todd, no, I want to hear you say it, I want to know that you want me, say it Todd, say it!

TODD: I do. (slowly, deliberately with desire) I want you!

(They lock in an embrace again and camera and they do that ‘turn thing’ you see in passionate clinches, the dizzy effect I like to call it. Next shot they are grabbing at each other, they have gotten his jacket off)

BLAIR: I missed you so much. And you buying that horse for me makes me thank you so much, thank you!

TODD: (with small smile) So this is how you thank someone who bought you a horse?

BLAIR: (laughing, kissing, he takes off his vest, she her jacket) No, I’m thanking you for knowing who I am.

TODD: Well why don’t you tell me what I did so I don’t screw up next time.

BLAIR: (she leans back against him pointing to horse) Why you said I was like that horse right there. (her hand goes up behind her to caress his hair) And I love it that you think I’m wild & brave. You always understood me.

TODD: Kinda. (they both kneel up again)

BLAIR: You make me happy, Todd, so happy. Can you stand that? Can you stand that Todd Manning, that you actually make me happy? (he responds by kissing and bending her back onto the hay, fade out)

Scene break

(they are in the after glow, Blair is nestled against his bare chest, they are covered by a horse blanket)

BLAIR: When I’m old and gray, years from now, (he and she give a small laugh) I’m gonna think back on this memory, when I made love to Todd in the stables. And it’s gonna be a beautiful memory and it’s gonna make me smile and smile.

TODD: (his voice is low and sexy, or kind of spent) Sounds like you’re not planning on having a lot of memories to choose from.

BLAIR: (looking up at him) There you go! Putting yourself down again. Todd are you happy? (no answer) You are gonna go to your grave playing it close to the vest, aren’t you?

TODD: (maybe just my intrepretation but he does not look to happy about being shirtless) Does it look like I’m wearing a vest? (she chuckles, he looks down at her, he can’t answer about happiness but instead) You make me feel.

BLAIR: (she gives him a kiss and puts on his black shirt and crosses over to pet the horse) So beautiful. Hey, so powerful.

TODD: Blair, be careful will you, that horse is wild. (she gives a small laugh)

Scene break

BLAIR: Yes....yeah, you wouldn’t hurt me in a million years, would you? Would you? We’re two of a kind, huh? We’re two of a kind! Yes, yeah. (she laughs mischievously and mounts, the horse that is)

TODD: Blair come on now, get down. (she laughs) Come on he’s wild.

BLAIR: Like me! (he gets up, magically with his pants on, and crosses to her and holds the horse by the reins)

TODD: Yeah, like you.

BLAIR: You know what, I never thought I would say a nice thing about Marty Saybrooke but whatever she said to you that got us back together, god bless her. (she leans down to kiss him) (next shot is Todd is laying Blair down in the hay again, kissing her and proceeding on to her ear and neck) Only you, Todd! Only you let me be who I am! (breathless, but then who wouldn’t be!)
