LAS VEGAS - With the temperature outside hovering near the 100-degree mark Wednesday, Sting sported a cool, blue, short-sleeved beach shirt to sign autographs here at the Nitro Grill, located inside the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the world-famous Strip.
Sting signed more than 600 free autographs during the two-hour session. He also posed for countless photos and, well, of course, chowed on some of the restaurant's popular grub. Specifically, chicken breasts and a baked potato.
Sting signed color publicity photos and numerous other wrestling relics, from replica championship belts to posters to T-shirts to Nitro Grill menus.
"I remember where that photo [was taken]," Sting told one fan who approached the former World Champion with two personal photos to be signed.
Fans attended from as far away as North Carolina. A family of four visited Sin City from nearby Utah. Even a Kansas City school teacher stopped by for a few signatures.
The first Sting fan lined up for the autographing session, which started at 3 PM, at 4 AM.
Some fans brought gifts, from a dozen red roses to green jelly beans.
Before signing, Sting's hand-prints were unveiled on the WCW Wall of Fame, where they now stand alongside Bret Hart's and Kevin Nash's.
