"We do not live in this world alone, but in a thousand other worlds." - Another World Opening Line

The Mission of CSAW
CSAW, The Committee to Save Another World, was founded in February 199 and has a distinct purpose: "to find a mechanism to put Another World back into production.  (www.saveaw.homepage.com
/missionstatement).  This primary mission is undergirded by the following theme:  we the consumers of networks have a right to have our opinions and voices heard, regardless of demography.  (www.saveaw.homepage
.com/missionstatement).  CSAW is a committee of 1,063 + extremely organized and educated individuals who fight for a cause.  To read more about this cause and their carefully thought out thematic mission, please visit CSAW - Mission Statement.

Some "Another World" fans may argue that "Another World" is gone for good and that this cause is lost.  I have heard this argument, but without much back up.  I have also heard the famous debate as to whether the actors/actresses would be able to pick up their roles on "Another World" if it were called back since some of these portrayers may have contracts.  To date, Linda Dano and Tom Eplin are the only two actors/actresses who do indeed have long term contracts, that I know of.  This argument can also be easily refuted.  Finally, I have heard and cannot truly refute the fact that picking up the soap opera at this stage in the game will be difficult in story lines.  I can't imagine, when CSAW gets its mission, how the writers of "Another World," would pick up the stories.  I can say, however, that it will be interesting and will make history.    So why be a pessimist on this issue, after all "Another World" has given us thirty-five years of its dedication and commitment.  Why can't we, the fans give back to "Another World" just one hour a day in hopes of bringing it back.  This hour is the hour that we lost on June 25, 1999, when NBC took it away from us.

Currently, CSAW is working on a successful media awareness launch and has offered CBS a proposal.  The media launch was slow at first, but recently has become fast paced and is gaining lots of coverage.  The proposal that was given to CBS is as follows:  making "Another World" a late night soap that lasts 1/2 hour, allowing the show to share the production studio with Guiding Light and As the World Turns in Manhattan to save money.  As of this publication date, no response from CBS has been received.

The success rate of CSAW is interesting.  The group has gone through leaps and bounds but seems to be right on track and making waves everywhere.  As with any goal there are good days and bad days, but each day brings the group closer to success.  As with "TAWA" what makes CSAW so successful is the help of dedicated fans.  They are always looking for local and state/providence coordinators to help the with the cause.

Online meetings are held every Tuesday at 3 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM in the saveaw chat room at www.talkcity.com.  For more information please, stay tuned to Bay City Bylines, The Another World Anthology's homepage, CSAW's homepage, email Charlotte Swank the national coordinator at Lucky121@webtv.net, AW2000fans@aol.com, or snailmail CSAW at P.O. Box 363, Marblehead, Ohio 43440-0363.  It is a worthy cause to fight for, we as "Another World" Fans all know this.
