Virtual Episodes
What is going on in "TAWA's"
virtual Bay City? The last three episodes offered many new and exciting
twists and turns. Reginald Love, Iris Cory, Liz Matthews, Russ Matthews
and Ada Hobson were back in town helping Cory Publishing celebrate it thrity-fifth
anniversary. Wouldn't it be interesting to know if they stayed around
for more action? Also, Lila Winthrope was in an accident. Is
she okay? Reginald approached Donna, who was upset, what came out
of this? Remy was settling into life with the Carlino's, is her life
still too good to be true? You will have to read the upcoming three
episodes of "TAWA's" virtual Bay City. Sorry no spoilers here.
Have you noticed
that we are in desperate need of a Jake McKinnon, Marley Love, Michael
or John Hudson? Not to mention the hundreds of other characters
that we would like to incorporate into "TAWA's" virtual Bay City?
Why don't you try joining the role-playing game and picking up some of
these characters. You can add your own storylines and such, which
always makes it interesting for everyone to read. We are a close-knit
group of writers (you don't have to be creative), who are just having fun
enjoying playing and planning these episodes out. Give it a whirl,
check out role-playing.
Expect three new episodes
by September 25, 1999. If you haven't read the previous ones check
them out at Virtual
Bay City.

Let's Argue
Let's argue!!! Regardless if the following
is indeed my opinion or not (which it is not, this is only a hypothetical
situation to bring about meaningful discussion), I would like to hear your
feedback. We all know that "Another World" was canceled for two soap
operas: The Passionless Passions and the Sunset Beach. Some have
the opinion that both of these soaps carry non-motivating story lines,
terrible actors/actressess, stolen ideas and the like, for the most part,
neither of these soaps could even possibly compare to our beloved "Another
World." Furthermore, NBC, the empiric network that doesn't care about
its viewship, was not the only culprit in cancellation. Procter and
Gamble, "Another World's" owners further gave up on our soap in lieu of
financial gain. They did however promise our characters on ATWT,
a promise so soon forgotten, how often did we get to see our characters?
Who if anyone is at fault here for the loss of our soap? What types
of soaps are the two mentioned, do they deserve merit? Join our discussion
group to see how this stimulating argumentation progresses or add your
own opinions.

Character in Light-Matt Cory
Matthew Cory - The son
of Rachel Cory and Mitch Blake was named after the Matthews family.
When Matt was born, his father, Mitch, was presumed dead, so Rachel decided
that her current husband Mac Cory would raise Matthew as his own.
Mac and Matt were extremely close, Mitch was found to be alive and
was put in jail for conspiring to kidnap his son. When he was released
years later, he came back to Bay City insisting that he be able to participate
in Matthew's life. When Matt found out that Mac was not his father,
he was devasted to say the least. He ran away to New York, but was
met there by his biological father and returned to Bay City. During
his late teenage years, Matt dated and became serious with Josie Watts
(Sinclair). Once when Josie broke it off with him, he began seeing
Lisa Grady, but this was a short relationship, as Josie and him resumed
their own romance. Matt broke everything off with Josie, when she,
a model, pulled a terrible publicity stunt. Shortly after, he began
a romance with Lorna Devon. He also opened up D&M Recording Studios
with Dean Frame. His relationship with Lorna was short-lived as he
broke it off. He began a seeing Donna Love for a period of time and
then married her. Donna was much older than he was and was uncomfortable
with the marriage and they agreed to have it annulled. Matt spent
much time and energy trying to discredit his stepfather Carl and around
this time he slept with Lila Roberts impregnating her. Lila tipped
Matt off to an excellent business idea and he sold all of his Cory Publishing
shares to his stepfather to pursue marketing a serum for a rare terminal
illness that Lila's husband, Shane, was working on. After selling
Shane out to Matt to further her own needs, Lila sold Matt out to herself,
but messing with the serum to make it look like it was a failure.
Shane died in a car accident, leaving a pregnant Lila to fend for herself.
Matt was taken with Sofia Carlino and the two fell deeply in love. They
even opened up a music business together. Though they had good times,
these times were short-lived since Lila was pregnant with Matt's child.
Lila gave birth to their daughter, Jasmine Rachel Cassandra Cory in the
elevator at the Lumina Ball. The baby ended up missing, thus bringing
the new parents closer together. Once the baby was found, Matt proposed
to Lila, in front of Sofia, at the Christening. The two married and
Sofia left Bay City for London. On the day of the Christening, Matt
visited the Lumina Foundation to thank Jordan Stark for helping the couple
to find their daughter. He left for the festivities completely brainwashed
and remained this way for a number of months. Meanwhile, Lila fell
in love with Cass Winthrop and after much debate, Matt agreed to divorce
her so she could marry Cass. Matt turned out to be Lila's closest
confident and friend when she had troubles with her relationship with Cass.
He even walked Jasmine down the aisle at Cass and Lila's wedding.
