Maryland Biking

In Maryland you can find the North Central Rail Trail. The trail runs from Ashland to Freeland, MD. It then continues into Pennsylvania as the York County Heritage Trail. It runs through several small towns in the countryside.

An old train station serves as a headquarters at Monkton.
An old farm house serves as bed & breakfast right next to the trail.

The Maryland side of the trail is 20 miles.
The trail is limestone and smooth. The grade is not difficult when a hill is encountered.
