~*Chapter 1*~
"Hey Justin, the usual." Kim said as she walked up to the bar. "One
club
soda coming up." He said as he poured her glass. "There you go. Oh
Yeah you
might want to stand clear of Jason. He's been looking everywhere for
you.
And he's drunker than ever. He drank 6 beers straight so be careful."
Justin
said with concern. "Thanks." She said as she sank into a chair. Kim
liked
to go to the club because she thought she might find someone there who
liked
her songs that she wrote. But only the usual showed up to get drunk for
the
3rd night in a row. Every now and then she would see new faces and
that
Friday was one of those nights. "Hey Justin! Who are those guys over
there?"
She asked and nodded in the direction. "Don't know. 2 of them just
moved to
Orlando and the other 3 have been here a couple of times before. When
you
weren't here." Justin said filling a glass. "I See, But that one with
the
short Brownish blonde hair sitting closes to us is Fine so is the
blonde one"
She said looking in their direction. "I'm going to tell them!" Justin
teased. "Go for it." She said. With that she turned away watching his
ever
move.
~*Chapter 2*~
"Hey Yo Bri? You there?" Nick said staring at his friend. "Huh? oh
yeah I'm
here." He said shyly.
"What are you looking at? Or better yet WHO? A. J. said laughing. "NO
one"
Brian said trying to hide his thoughts. "Wait guys I know who he's
looking
at. You see that chick up by the bar talking to the Bartender? The one
with
the Brownish blonde hair? the really sexy looking one." A. J. stated
"She's
not a chick, Brian said coming to her defense "she's a very fine lady,
but
she is sexy." .
"whoa chill man I'm only kidding " "Hey Brian she's mine dude." Nick
said"
As Brian watched her. He felt a pang of jealousy as he walked up behind
her.
~*Chapter 3*~
"Hey Babycakes. Lets dance" He said. She knew that voice. It was him
Jason
Norris.
"Jason leave me alone. Is there ever a night when I can be by myself
without
you bothering me?" Kim yelled.
"What you don't like me?" He said
grabbing
her arm pulling her up. She pulled away. "Jason leave me alone." She
yelled. Nick and Brian were watching as she yelled. they both ran to
her
rescue. "Hey What do you think your doing?" Brian said pulling her a
way.
"Just mind your own Business man this is my Girl" Jason said pulling
her
back. Nick stepped in intercepting her. "Yo Man we don't want no
trouble
just leave her alone." he stated. Jason let go of Kim and pushed Nick.
He
didn't like that to much but he stood his ground. "Like I said we
don't want
any trouble ." He said holding his anger in. Stephanie walked into the
Bar
when Jason pushed Nick. She ran over to Kim to see if she was okay.
Stephanie was Kim's roommate. She was at work Next door and had just
gotten
off. "Kim are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine Jason's drunk and got a
little
carried away but I'm fine." Turning to Jason Kim said, "Jason just go
home
and leave me alone."
"NO not till we dance."
"Look the lady said no. Sorry dude she doesn't want to." Brian said
now
noticing Steph. 'I think Ill take her instead Nick can have this one.
Their
just the same, dress the same look the same, and even act the same.
Nick
will be happy.' Brian thought. " NO its okay. Jason if I dance with you
will
you leave me alone?" Kim said regretting what she had asked. " Yes I
will
leave you alone." Kim leaned over to Steph "go tell Justin to play a
fast and
short very short song so I can get this over with"
"okay"
Steph ran over and told Justin.
He nodded and found the shortest song he could find.
~*Chapter 4*~
Steph walked back over to the 2 guys that came to her best friends
rescue.
"Thanks guys for stepping on like that. No one else would have. He
does this
every week. she tries to come when he's not here but somehow he finds
out
she's here and comes." Steph explained. "Hey it no problem. Always
willing
to help out." Nick said . "well hey Ill be right back. " Steph said
walking
up to the bar. "Ok"
"Hey nick you cam have that one out there this one is mine. They are
just
alike." Brian said watching Steph. "Yo dude your the greatest. "Nick
said
watching Kim. Steph walked back to them. "So what are your names?"
Mines
Stephanie but you can call me Steph." She said Brian spoke first. "my
name
is Brian and this is my best friend Nick. and he has a crush on your
friend."
he whispered. "Well, its nice to meet you both and I'm going to tell
her"
She whispered to Brian. He winked at her and grinned.
The song seemed like an eternity for Kim. AT the end of the song she
turned
and noticed the Blonde haired one was watching her. She smiled at him
and he
smiled back. Jason saw this and as she started to walk away he grabbed
her
and Kissed her. Nick lost his smile and stood up. Kim pushed away and
slapped him. He slapped her back so hard she hit the floor and hit her
head
on the table. She was knocked unconscious.
Nick was furious when he kissed her and even angrier when he slapped
her.
Steph, Nick and Brian ran to her. The rest of the guys followed. Nick
checked on Kim then got up right in his face. He wasn't going to put up
with
him kissing her much less slapping her. Brian stood up beside him.
"Come on
punk." Jason said. "You cant do anything about it." Nick swung at him.
It
got him right on the jaw. He fell back but he was up in seconds. Brian
and
the guys were behind Nick. All of his buddies were behind him only one
held
him back. "Hey Jason maybe we should go. Justin just called the cops.
You
don't want to go to jail do you? just think if you go to jail you cant
get
him back for it." He stated scared out of his mind. "This isn't over
punk."
He said walking out. Everyone watched Jason he left. Their eyes went
back to
Nick. A. J. turned to him. "Dude I didn't know you had it in you."
"Me neither." Nick ran back to Kim. She was still lying on the floor
unconscious. "Steph What's her name?" "Kim" She said sobbing. Brian was
trying to comfort her and kept Kim's head stable at the same time.
Nick bent down Kissed her on the head and said, "Kim Baby wake up. Wake
up
for me. I really like you and I don't want to lose you." He said
holding her
hand. She stirred but did not awake.
