"Tomorrow is the day Brie!!" I screeched. Unable to control the excitement welling up within me.
"I know! I totally cannot believe the day has finally come!! What are we ever going to wear?"
Brie, my best friend, was over at my house. About a month back I had been listening to the radio when all of the sudden I heard the D.J. start talking about a contest that was going on.
"Ok all you BSB lovers! Have I got a treat for you!" He shouted excitedly from my radio. "This is a once in a lifetime chance, that could never be topped for the lucky winner of what I am about to offer!" By then I was on the edge of my seat. "Now, what I have here, is quite something," Stop rambling, I yelled at the radio. "I have right in my hands, the authorization from the top dog here at K.L.M.W. that I am to send two lucky people on a trip. Not just any trip, though. It says here that the 5th person to call in at the sound of Nick Carters voice is to win...I batch can't wait...an all expense paid trip to HAWAII!!!"
I am screaming at the top of my lungs, figuring it would never happen to me, but still overwhelmed with excitement.
" You might be thinking 'Wow a trip to Hawaii! How exciting!! But I am not done here ladies. It not only is a trip to Hawaii, but we have 2 front row tickets to the live, televised concert that is going to be held there! The Boys want all there fans out here to know that just because they have never come to Iowa does not mean that they don't care about us. So they have arranged for two lucky winners to go see them in concert IN HAWAII!!!"
I am basically just jumping off the walls by now. Screaming my head off.
"But, he continued, not everyone can go. What you have to do to win the tickets is just be the 5th caller after you hear NICK CARTER's voice, no one else, and you will be the lucky girl. The only thing is, no one knows when his voice will be played! So if you are a faithful listener, it just might be you. Good lucky and stay tuned in!"
"Have You Ever" by Brandy started playing right after he was finished, so I immediately got on the phone.
"Brie!" I screamed into the receiver. "Oh my Gosh! Have you been listening to,"
"K.L.M.W.!" We both screamed in unison.
"Oh yah! I was just about to call you! Can you believe this!? I am just over whelmed! I just have to be that caller!" she whined.
"Oh, I know Brie! We have to listen all day, and if you win, you take me; if I win, I take you."
"Couldn't have it any other way. Well, we better get back to that radio. I am not missing this for the world!" Brie exclaimed.
After we hung up I just stayed in my room for like 3 hours. Listening to songs with the phone practically part of my arm. Every time a male voice would come on I was start to dial. It was so completely nerve wrecking. I couldn't think or eat or anything. This went on for what seemed like 100 years. Then, just when I was thinking I had to go to the bathroom or die, it happened! "My Name is..." Was right in the middle of playing when all of a the sudden the song stopped and Nick started talking.
I had that phone on and the number dialed faster than I knew I could even move! It was so scary, the whole time the phone was ringing all I could do was keep thinking to myself, 'Come on Heather. Do you know how many girls have been just as stuck to the phone as you have? What are your chances!?' Then after what seemed like an eternity of ringing a voice answered.
