Above, the rendered AutoCad drawing of the Renaissance poses in front of Leonardo DaVinchi's masterpiece, the Span of Man. As easily seen, the Renaissance is a spacious family vehicle that puts sporty fun into the otherwise dull market of gas guzzling SUV's and minivans (not to mention the now deceased station wagon). Falcon Motors Inc introduced a new crew in 1999 to create the Renaissance and send in the entry for the 2000 Chrysler Build Your Dream Vehicle contest. This year's team includes the following platform:President, Jason Schultz;- Economics, Steve Pallotto;
- Marketing Advisor, Scott Bort;
- Safety/Ergonomics, Mark Hardy;
- Team Process Evaluation, Chuckie Cowans;
- Modeling, Brian Reardon; and
- Design, Jim Schultz.
This year's team looked to follow up on the Apocalypse's success by making previous options standard and using upgraded technology to enhance the driver's experience. Beralcast, a space-age material, allows for a frame 10 times lighter than steel but 3 times stronger.
Update
It was announced on February 1, 2000 that the Falcon Renaissance was one of the eight chosen cars to enter the final judging of the Midwest Chrysler regional. The regional was held at Moraine Valley Community College on April 11, and the Renaissance captured a third place trophy. The event was filled with live broadcasts and news coverage that watched a stunning presentation that stunned the mind and multimedia to dazzle the eyes. This qualification marks the second consecutive year that Falcon Motors has successfully qualified for this regional; Falcon Motors' first and second years.Click to see the blueprints of the Renaissance.
