This is my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am RamAir GT Sedan. The 1999-2002 Grand Am's are probably the best looking years of this model in my opinion. Hopefully they don't veer too far from its styling cues in newer generations. I like the unique styling that in some regards is the anti-ricer. Some people defeat this with styling kits (which I think is idiotic), so you could say that I like the Detroit look.

The velocity test:
Maximum indicated speed: 120MPH@2600RPM
Maximum Speed estimated: 130+ @5000+ RPM
Don't ask how I know the bottom two figures. ;)
The car was never pushed beyond max speed indicated, but did not hit either the speed or rev limiter. This car will beat most factory stock cars in an all out speed contest due to the fact that they usually have speed limiters (approx 108 or 115MPH.) However this does not necessarily apply to cars with modified chips or no factory limiters.
Grand Am SC/T
I think it would be neat to have a Grand Am SC/T. When I say that, I'm refering to the original 5 or so SC/T research test vehicles. This is because the first 5 were the REAL SC/T's. The production SC/T's offered in 2002+ are only 1/2 of the real ones, unfortunately the half they got was the one I didn't care for. They only featured the appearance package half of the real SC/T's. Which seems ironic, since one would assume that SC/T stands for Super Charged / Touring.
The part of the real SC/T that I've been wanting is the performance package half, which is yet to be offered in production or a full factory supported aftermarket kit. It features a 6psi Magnuson roots-style supercharger and the beefier 4T65-E Transaxle. The blower adds almost 100 HP to the RamAir's stats and doubles the torque. The 4T65-E is beefier than the 4T45-E to the extent it can handle the extra power without breaking.
