The band was formed in March of 1996 by Jon Goldyn and Dave Wiegers. Soon thereafter, Tim Cronin, Guy McNulty, and John Gibbs were recruited. Taking time to hone their edge, and write music that was not of the norm - i.e. the music was DIFFERENT, the band played smaller shows and got exposure.
Since November of 1997, Kilswitch has toured in 2 states, supported bands such as Malevolent Creation, Sam Black Church, Nothingface, and Opressor, released two of their own albums, and been on a Chicagoland compilation album. Let me rephrase. THEY DONT SIT ON THEIR ASSES. Thier music is a real, in your face, no holds barred, truthful look at political corruption, and the reality that is life.
The music industry today needs a change. Every song is beginning to sound the same, and KilSwitch is the answer that we all have been waiting for. Raw power, and sheer energy will be the boost needed to kick the industry back onto track, and in this time, KilSwitch will be our Messiah.
