Rachel Joy Scott was born August 5, 1981. She entered into this world a precious angel. As she grew older she based her life around the church. Was she Perfect? Is anyone? Rachel, like the average student, faced problems in life. However, she did not let that get her down. She occasionally smoked but quit smoking as a promise to a friend. No matter what she was going through she turned to god for guidance. One person said, "Because she shined. She shined for God at all times. She made a choice to love life." Rachel was also involved in acting. She performed in the Columbine school play (Smoke in the Eyes) and she was writing a play to perform in her senior year. Rachel was never able to finish that task. On April 20, 1999 her life was cut short. Rachel knew that even before the school shooting that she would not live to see adulthood. So while she lived she lived her life for God. The world should be thankful for her life because through her death thousands will be saved.
