Limp Bizkit began by the end 1994. Their first real break came a while ago when the band Korn played their first show in the Jacksonville area. After the gig, Korn's Head met up with Fred and went back to his place to get a few tattoos. That's when friendship started. The next time Korn came back to Jacksonville they hooked up with Fred again. By this time Korn had heard Limp Bizkit's demo and were impressed with the band's intense sound. They were so impressed that they promised to pass the tape along to Ross Robinson. When they did, Ross listened to it. He loved it!! The buzz on Limp Bizkit was begining to get to be more than just a buzz. Limp Bizkit's next step was a tour with House of Pain and then another with Deftones. The offers from record labels across the country flooded in. After they carefully considered all of the deals, Limp Bizkit signed with the new indie label Flip Records. Later this brought them to Interscope Records. Limp Bizkit is one of my favorite bands. Once I heard them, I knew I would be listening to them for a long time! They have a great cd. I think you should go out and buy it right now. their new cd is soooo good...GO GET IT.
Jonathan Davis (vocals)
Korn. what more can I say? These guy are good! A.D.I.D.A.S. is not only a cool song, but they made this freaky music video for it!
Nick(Lofton)Hexum (vocals/guitarist)
311 started back in Omaha in 1990. These five guys make music with a good message behind it. After gigging around locally, the 5 moved to Los Angeles. That's where they signed with Capricorn Records in 1991.
Since then, 311 have released several albums, including 1992's Music, 1993's Grassroots, and 1995's 311 (aka the Blue album). They latter reached #12 on Billboard's album chart, selling three million copies worldwide. Some songs you might recognize are "Homebrew", "All Mixed Up", and "Down".
In 1996, following a non-stop year of touring, the band released Enlarged to Show Detail, a kick ass home video of live performances taken from amphitheater shows in Kansas City and Denver, as well behind-the-scenes looks at what their life on the road is like. They had this wierd stage-hand named Dudley with a backstage pass glued to the side of his head.
In 1997, Transistor, a double album of new songs on one CD, was released. You migh recognize "Transitor", and "Beautiful Disaster" from this cd. I listened to this cd a lot last year. Especially when I was in Jamaica.
Right now, my favorite 311 cd is 311. I also like Grassroots. It's not hard to start listeneing to these guys.
Frank "Potatohead" Casillas (vocals)
These guys make music that puts me in a good mood, no matter
how bad i feel. their musical skills are perfect! when you are feeling
bad, or just want to be extra hyper, listen to the voodoo glow skulls.
they will cheer you up.
Noodles (guitar)
the offspring is another great band. there is a big change between their old stuff and their new stuff, at least i think.
i like the changes, though. that way it can fit your mood, ya know?
josh just went to a concert where they were playing. i've never seen them live, but
josh has...a few times i think...maybe i'll ask him to write this for me then :)
anyways, the point is that that the offspring makes good music.
coming soon!

Ahhhh... Smash mouth. It's like milk. It does a body good. Well, not really. At least I don't think so. It does the ears good, though! Smash mouth is wild, energetic and great to dance and mosh to. It makes my brother hyper! He could listen to the same song all day if you let him! Smash mouth's cd, Fush Yu Mang, is not only the a good party-down cd, with songs about funny subjects that'll put you in a good mood weather you think you'll like it or not, but sometimes, serious with important life lessons (my ass!) mixed in behind all that phat music. i went to go see them in concert and they were hyper! spilling beer on my friends and me and stuff like that. you should definantly try to see them in concert! their new cd is a bit strange...but it's a lot of fun!
coming soon!
coming soon!
coming soon!
