Suggested Emergency supplies, for emergency communicator

Are you ready to use your amateur radio communications skills in a real emergency ? Would you like to be better prepared ? If you gather all of these items in a ready to grab "JUMP KIT", you will be better prepared than you think.

  • 2 meter in red

  • HF in Blue.
  • 2-Meter Roll-up J-Pole Antenna
  • Coax Jumpers - At least two 3-6 foot coax jumpers (RG-58 or RG-8X) one with BNC, and one with PL259 Connectors
  • Coax Adapters - (2) PL259->BNC-Female, (2) BNC-Male ->SO239, (2) SO-239 -> SO239 (Barrel), (2) BNC-F -> BNC-F (Barrel) any other special connectors and adaptors, that your radio may need.
  • Coax Cable - 15 feet of RG58 or RG8X
  • HF antenna or roll of wire to form one out of.
  • Extra Antenna for your radio�s
  • Magnetic Mount Antenna
  • Ear phone or headset
  • Spare Microphone for larger or HF radio
  • Speaker Microphone, or headset for hand helds
  • Generic Battery Case for your HT, One that uses standard AA Batteries
  • Two fresh packs of AA batteries for your HT (if it uses 4 cells, have 8 on-hand)
  • AC-Power adaptor for your HT
  • Large rechargeable Battery System and SOLAR Charger
  • Standard ARRL/ARES/RACES (MOLEX) Connectors to hook -up to others supplies
  • COPY OF YOUR AMATEUR LICENSE AND SATERN/ARES ID CARD
  • List of all Net frequencies and alternate simplex frequencies (including HF Emergency Nets
  • 50-100� of fishing line and weights (to hang the J-POLE)
  • Roll of Duct Tape
