Garnet stood at the top of a building, at the dead of night, looking down at Tokyo, future Crystal Tokyo. "Pitiful little place." Garnet said to himself. A slight wind rustled through his brown-with-a-tint-of-red hair. "I shall take this world over in the name of Diamond and Sapphire." Diamond and Sapphire, his two cousins, killed by Wiseman. However, he had a bigger trial before him, the Sailor Scouts. Those little girls stepped into the Black Moon's plans far too many times. "And they will again, no doubt. I must find the source of their power." Garnet was never one to underestimate his opponents. The Earth's moon was high in the air, and Garnet watched the city, grinning. The next day, Garnet went hunting for the senshi. Reading the thoughts of the people as he hid on tall buildings, it was only an hour before he found four of the senshi, all at the same place. Crossroads Junior High. "Too crowded, better ambush them when they leave." Garnet took some glimpses through the windows, and saw them to do what appeared to be paperwork. "They have no idea what awaits them when they leave." Garnet laughed softly. His ever-faithful sword hung at his side. Once or twice he was almost seen, but he was able to avoid it. "Soon, my cousins, soon." Garnet said to ears that could not hear. *RING* came the loud bell that marked the end of the day. The teenagers began milling out, except for one. Reading her thoughts, she saw Sailor Moon. She was running out, and that was good for him, she would be alone. However, she waited for someone. The rest of the senshi came up. They started heading off together. "Drat it all, but maybe I could find out how strong they are in unity." Garnet mumbled quietly. He listened to them, and he heard something most intriguing. "So, what's up?" Sailor Moon asked. "I sensed something really bad." Sailor Venus replied. "Oh?" Sailor Mercury piped in. "Yeah, I felt like a great evil force." Sailor Venus responded. "Was it centralized somewhere? That could be it's headquarters." Sailor Jupiter asked. "No, it was mobile, and felt very dangerous." Sailor Venus said. "Oh great, and I thought we were gonna get settled for once." Sailor Moon complained. "We never will, good guys never rest as long as there's evil in the world." Sailor Mars shot back. They soon arrived at a temple-like structure. "So, the reason this was called was to assemble a plan against this new force." Sailor Venus began. "I can feel that feeling, close by," Sailor Venus cried out. "Transform!" she shouted, and they did so. "Curses, Garnet, you waited too long." "That feeling is here!" Sailor Venus cried out just as Garnet jumped out from a tall tree. "So, you think any plan will protect you from me. Prepare to be defeated, senshi." "You think you can defeat all of us?" Sailor Mars dared. "You upstarts, take this." Garnet said as he loosed an arc of dark energy. Sailor Venus and Mercury were hit while the others were able to dodge. "Hit me when I'm weaponless. I shall defeat you in the name of the Moon." Sailor Moon said as she got up. "Spare me the speech, Sailor Moon." Garnet said. Mars, at his side, shouted out that she was launching a fireball attack. Garnet found it ridiculously easy to dodge. Garnet laughed as he telekinetically lifted Mars off of her feet. "Hey, what's happening?" she screamed as Garnet flung her at Sailor Moon. "Four down." he said as he turned to Jupiter. "You're gonna have to try harder to get me. JUPITER THUNDER" she shouted then launched a thunderbolt at him. Garnet teleported, a common trait of Black Moon family members, and appeared behind her. He opened her mind telepathically, then sent in a bunch of conflicting emotions and thoughts. "Aah." Sailor Jupiter cried, clutching her head filled with confusion and pain. The senshi were down, Venus and Mercury couldn't get up, nearly stunned by the arc. Mars was unconscious, with Moon nearly there. Jupiter still was having a hard time getting her mind back on track. "You'll need to try harder. Next time, I may not be so generous with your lives." Garnet said as he teleported away.
