Poison For Profit

July 8th, 2004

  • Poison For Profit has begun work on some new material. Tom and Ian have combined to become quite the writing force. The newer stuff is more on the heavier "metalcore" side but doesn't loose the overall Poison For Profit classic sound. Trust me people, it's gonna start heatin' up. Also, to remind everyone, we still have tickets on sale for both the Fear Factory show and the Shadows Fall/As I Lay Dying show. Just so everyone knows $20 will get you tickets to both shows and a free bus ride to/from Fear Factory. One more thing, PFP is finally getting some merch. We're having t-shirts made and will be selling them very soon. We'll probably do stickers aswell. Hasta la victoria siempre! - PFP Revolutionary

  • The tickets for the Shadows Fall show are in. We are selling them for $10.00 a piece. Here's the catch though...If you want to purchase a ticket to both the Fear Factory show and the Shadows Fall show, then the whole package is $20.00 straight up. That 20 bones to see Fear Factory, Sworn Enemy, and Mastadon one night and then Shadows Fall, Himsa, As I lay Dying, and Remembering Never 5 days later. We will have the tickets at all of our upcoming shows, so don't hesitate to pick some up. You can also email us at poisonforprofit@yahoo.com if you can't make it to a show. • Last night's show at Platos was amazing to say the least. Poison For Profit played our first reunited with Tom Bianchi, and seeing him and Ian together just made the show absolutely insane. We were told by fans that the show we put on was the best we've ever done. Unfortunately with good there is sometimes also bad. Our bass player Brian, during the last song got hit in the face by a guitar headstock. A lot of stitches and a trip to Hinsdale Mecial Center later he is doing well and already preparing for next weeks shows. Poison For Profit would like to graciously thank the bands Luminary, Shattered Images, Tremulus, and Augmentum for their concern and for the friendships we've established with all of them (except Augmentum, we've known them for a while, but we still love 'em). Poison For Profit is planning to do something to set up another show with all the same bands, so we can all kick ass again without hospital visits. Also, don't forget about our shows next weekend, we'd love to see everyone out there. This time no is being sent to the hospital, they're being sent to the mourge motherfucker hahahaha. Keep strong and keep fighting. Until The Victory Forever! - PFP Revolutionary

  • So here is some more good news. On August 14th, Poison For Profit will be opening for Shadow's Fall at Challenge Park in Joliet, IL. It's an all day show, and Poison For Profit will start the day off right with political banterings and revolution songs! We are selling tickets and they will be cheap as hell, like even cheaper than the Fear Factory tickets. So, here's the deal, if you can't make it to Fear Factory, then by all means come out to the Shadows Fall show, but......if you can make it to both then that would be one killer week. Seeing Shadows Fall and Fear Factory in the same week for about 20 bucks, that's a steal! Get intouch with us soon because tickets are limited. Peace up and word out. • So Mobfest is over. The weekend was eventful and tiring. We all have sunday off to chill and breakdance (should the situation arise). On Thursday night we played with 30 Seconds to Shame, Negative Nancy, and Duct Tape Mustache which were all very unique bands in their own rite. It was a diverse show to say the least. On Saturday we attended the panel and seminars. Poison For Profit was played for the panel and didn't recieve any real negative feedback. Of course we're not the worlds foremost radio friendly band, but we were told we have talent and can definately go somewhere in the, slowly resurging, metal scene. We also came home with tons of new knowledge about what a money-based crackhole the major music industry is. Indie labels are the way to go, cause it's from the grassroots, it's passionate, and it's real. Keep fighting the good fight comrades. Hasta la victoria siempre! - PFP Revolutionary
