Who's That Girl

Elizabeth stared at her sister's profile later that evening. The concert had been great, but something was going on with Jessica and Elizabeth was starting to get scared. While everyone else was eating junk food Jessica just watched, faking a smile the whole time.

Elizabeth dropped Conner's hand and jogged up to where her sister was talking to Tia.

"Hey, Jess...Tee." Elizabeth said, smiling at the two girls. Elizabeth wove her arm through Jessica's and smiled brightly.

"Jessica...what's going on?" She asked in asked in a hushed tone.

Jessica's head moved sharply as she looked at Elizabeth. "What are you talking about? Oh, just because I didn't eat anything?" Jessica laughed." I guess you didn't notice when I ordered that pizza. That's right, you were out. Well, I binged on a big pizza. The empty box is the trash. I am still full!"

Elizabeth stared at her sister. She was smiling and looking like she meant every word. "Ok, Jess." She sighed. It looked like she was going to see if they had a pizza box in the trash can.

"Evan, can you take me home?" Jessica said, smiling sweetly as the group of friends halted at the curb near the parking lot. "Riding with Andy again is sure to kill me." She joked.

"Sure, Jess."

Jessica hugged her sister, and then Tia. "Bye guys. See ya'll later!"

After Evan said his goodbyes he grabbed Jessica's arm and led her to where he had parked his small red car. He slid his key into the passengar side of the door and pulled it open for Jessica.

"Thanks." She said quietly. As she slid into the seat her eyes flickered to Evan. He was probably the sweetest guy she had ever known. He really cared about her. Boyfriend material. The kind of guy a girl could get used to really quickly.

Evan climbed into the car. "Jess...."He trailed off. "I,um, I really like you." He blurted out suddenly.

Jessica's heart stopped. "You like me? Well, I guess that works out pretty well because I kind of like you too, Evan."

Evan took a deep breath. "In other words, this is all a dream?"

Jessica flashed a smile and moved in closer. "Much better than a dream."

Evan leaned in closer and covered Jessica's lips with his own. This was everything he had dreamed of and more. Who was the girl who had looked so scared at her house? Evan wasn't sure, but he hopped to God that that girl wouldn't come back. He wouldn't have been able to live with out the girl who was in his arms right now.
