Chapter 3: And You Are...?

Ok, I can do this! I will do this! Delilah will know who you are. Andy psyched himself up the next morning. He marched into his first period and threw his books down at his usual desk.

In the corner of the room sat Delilah. Her strawberry blonde hair seemed to twinkle and her clear blue eyes were fixed on the book she was intently reading. He walked over slowly. As he stood right in front of her, he took one long breath and pushed a smile unto his face.

"Hi, Delilah!" He let his smile slunk a little bit, trying his best 'Conner'.

"Hi!" She replied smiling brightly.

"So...What's up?" Andy asked in a low tone.

"Nothing really. I am just hanging out before school starts. I uh don't really enjoy the huge clutter in the hallway." She was studying him, as though she didn't even know who he was! They had ONLY been in the same class for 5 years in a row, and in high school and jr. high, they had about 20 classes together.

"I'm sorry...umm...I just...who-who are you?" She finally.

"Andy...Andy Marsden." He said in a cool voice. He stammered was surprised to see how calm his voice sounded, inside he was screaming. How could she not know me?! It's not like she would possibly remember me, we have been in like A MILLION classes together!

Andy sighed and stared at her for a long moment. " I'm sorry...you are Delilah Moore? Aren't you?" He asked, pretending to be clearing stunned. He looked down at her in horror. Although, he knew perfectly well her last name was Brook. The good news was there was a Delilah Moore at their school so he wouldn't look like a total moron.

"Oh, no I'm Delilah Brook." She answered smiling brightly.

"Well, golly g, I thought you were the one and only Miss Moore. Please accept my deepest apologies." He drawled in a southern accent.

She blushed and smiled up at him. "Oh, it's no problem, really. Hey...do you want to go out for a coffee or something after school?" She flashing him a 100 megga watt smile.

"Sure...how about I meet you at HOJ at 3:45?" He winked at her as she nodded yes. As he walked away, he realized that this dating thing wasn't as hard as he thought!

Today I watched Jessica all day. I have her schedule down pat, and I know where she is going, before she goes. I am going to get her to go out with me...I don't care who comes in my way, she will dump Aames for me and we will be happily ever after. Got it? Because I don't think I do. She is way to happy with Aames and that bothers me...a lot.
