Chapter 5:The Day Before

"Please come you guys! It will be so much fun!" Jessica whimpered to her friends during lunch. Will watched her carefully. So far, he learned that Jeremy's friend was having some sort of party and Jeremy told Jessica that his friend said 'the more the merrier'.

"Oh, ok! Angel doesn't have the night off, but I'll come, anyway. I'll take Conner, he'll come. He loves a good party. "Tia muttered.

"Yeah, me too. I'll ask...someone to come with me." Elizabeth sadiron an almost cheerful voice. It was obvious that she didn't want Conner to ruin her plans.

"Yeah, me too. I'll ask Delilah." Andy added.

"I'll come to...Ken, do you want to go with me?" Maria asked hopefully.

"Sure, why not?"

"OK! This is great! Thanks you guys! Here are the directions..."As she rattled them off Will jotted them down. He would be joining them at this party, and Jessica would be his, after tomorrow night.

"Hey Liz. "Todd Wilkins said a confident voice as he strode over to her lunch table. He pulled a chair down next to her.

"Hey Todd! I was wondering...if you aren't busy this weekend...and well, if you want Jessica's boyfriend's fried-"

"Stan." Jessica supplied.

"Stan, is having a party and I was wondering, if you wanted to go with me, but only as friends, of course." She gave him a friendly smile and waited patiently.

"Sure."

Elizabeth sighed with relief. There was no way she would ever want to go out with him again, but the thought of Conner being at the party, and Todd was promising. Maybe Conner would get jealous, maybe he would even...dare she even think it, apologize.

"Pick me up at the Folwers -at 7:30." She stood up and gathered her books.

"Bye, I have to go to the library, see you guys later."

With that, Elizabeth made her way out of the cafeteria.

Todd watched her go, his heart beating one hundred times faster. He couldn't believe it. Liz was going to go out with him, again. He sighed. He wondered if they all knew he was head over heels.

"Todd! All, I have to say is you better treat her right, my sister has changed and she isn't into renting a movie every night of her life." Jessica snapped.

He frowned right back at her. "Stay out of this, Wakefield." He replied and stalked off.

Andy muttered a goodbye to everyone at his lunch table and walked over to Delilah.

"Hey!" He said, smiling brightly.

"Hi Andy, what's up?"

"Ok, lets see if I can say this, so you understand. My friend Jessica's boyfriend, Jeremy's friend Stan is having a party tomorrow night, and I was wondering, would you like to go with me?" Andy blurted out in a rush.

"Well, sure why not? What time are you going to pick me up?" Delilah asked, fluttering her eye lashes, making Andy nearly swoon.

"Umm-err...how about.....7:30?" He stuttered.

"OK, sounds great. Let me just give you my address...and I will see you later! "She quickly scrawled her address on a piece of paper and handed it to Andy. As the bell rang, he felt his whole life become one huge party.
