Chapter 6: Pre-Party Pick Ups

"Hey there!" Jessica said as she opened the huge wooden door. She gave Jeremy a big smile and took his arm.

"I cannot wait for this party!" She exclaimed. She pecked him on the cheek and led him down the porch and to his car. He opend the car door for her and pushed it shut as she slid into the seat.

"Me too, Jess. I cannot wait for this party. It should be a lot of fun." Jeremy agreed, a smile spreading over his featuers.

As he started up the engine a Benz pulled up behind them and Todd Wilkens climbed out of the gleaming black car.

"Hold on second, Jeremy."Jessica muttered and yanked the door open. She stalked over to Todd and began say things to him a very low tone, with a grim look spread across her lovely features.

Jeremy wasn't sure what she was doing, and he really didn't care. He wasn't involved with this guy, and all he know was he used to date Elizabeth.

"Ok, we can go now. Thanks for waiting." Jessica said cheerfully and she reappeared in the car. Jeremy decieded not to ask what she had said to Todd, so he simply started up the car and began to drive.

Elizabeth wrung her hands nervously as she waited for Todd to arrive. She had dressed carefully, trying not to give Todd the wrong idea, but wanting Conner to fall over himself drooling. Her, well Jessica's, tight black skirt fit perfectly and the blue tube top she had choosen made a perfect match with her eyes.

She glanced out the window one more time, and sighed in relief as she saw Todd walking up the steps. Elizabeth took a long deep breath and hurried down the stairs.

Elizabeth yanked open the door before Todd had a chance to even ring the bell. He grinned happily at her.

"I guess you can still read my mind, huh?" He gave her a sly wink.

"Umm right,Todd. Well, I just want to remind you...this isn't a date. It's a friend going with a friend to a party, ok?" Elizabeth stammered bashfully.

"Hey, I never did say it was anything but that. Don't get all pyscho on me, Liz. That is your sister's job." He gave a snort of laughter and Elizabeth followed in suit. This might just be a fun evening after all.

Jessica will listen to me tonight, even if I have to kill everyone there just to get a minute alone with her! Will thought to himself as he suffled out the door of his house. Will quickly ran his fingers through he short blonde hair and hurried over to his Chvey Blazer.

"Tonight is the night." He whispered to himself as he climbed inside. He checked his relfection in the mirror and sighed. He didn't know how he was going to do it, but Jessica would talk to him. He wouldn't let her leave without that small minor detail happening.

Conner rang Tia's doorbell and wiped his sweating palms on his jeans. He had spent nearly 45 minutes getting ready for this party! 45! He had no idea who else would be there, except for a few Sweet Valley kids, but he really didn't care. Tonight was the night he and Elizabeth would get together, like a real couple.

Tia opened the door looking flushed.

"Hey Conner! Sorry it took so long. Ricky was...being Ricky." She said lightly. She grabbed his arm.

"Excited?" She teased as he practically dragged her to his car.

"You could say that." He returned roughly. Tia smiled a sickly sweet smile, which made Conner's heart drop. She knows! Oh no...did she tell Liz? Conner though frantically.

"Don't worry, C. I didn't tell anyone. I've known since forever, and I still haven't told a soul."She replied airly to his shocked face.

"Y-y-you know?" He croaked out.

"Of course, did I not just stay that? Hello! Come on, we are going to be late, loser!" She rolled her eyes and stared at him.

"Ok,ok. Whatever, Tee. It's just like...yeah, ok. Let's go." He finally muttered. As long as Liz didn't know he was coming after her, everything was ok.

Andy stepped from side to side nervously. She glanced at the numbers on the big wooden door. 9885 Is right! Where is she?? His mind screamed.

Suddenly the door flew open and there she was, smiling widely at him.

"Hi there! Ready to go?" She asked breathlessly. He returned her grin. "Of course, m'lady. Let's roll." Andy replied. Delilah giggled happily and grabbed his hand.

"I'm so glad you accidently thought I was Delilah Moore. I really love hanging out with you, Andy." Delilah mummered out of nowhere.

Andy blushed happily. "Well, I'm glad I did too, Delilah. Now, are you ready for some serious partying?" He asked laughing.

"Yeah...do you really think this will be fun?" She asked.

"Umm..well, you'll stick with me, so it will be fun."

"Well, I guess I will just have to stick with you all night."

Jessica Wakefield

I am ready so ready for this party. Stan is such a sweet guy, along with all of Jeremy's friends. I cannot wait. All of my friends...even though it is a small number, it doesn't matter to me, they are all good people, are going to be there. Jeremy is such a perfect guy. I don't know how I would ever go on without him.

Elizabeth Wakefield

Ok, so I am going out with Todd. Only as friends of course, but what about Conner? I still like him, don't of? One part of me say's, no of course no! Look what he did to you! But another part says yes, of course, this is something that is really hard for him to deal with. You still love him, Liz. So...what do I do? He is going to be there tonight, what is going to happen?? I just hope Todd won't do anyhting stupid.
