When God made mothers, He knew just what to do
Giving them a love to last a whole life through
In spite of the little things I've done wrong
You've been there for me my whole life long
As troubles in life came and went
It's clear to see mom you're heaven sent
To have a child does not a mother make
To love and nurture is what it will take
We do not choose who our mothers are to be
But I was truly blessed when God gave you to me
I'll never be able to repay the things you've done
So I'll just say MOM; I'm proud to be your son
