Fields of Dreams

Thinking back to other times
I feel the heat of love gone by.
Eyes that close and mind that drifts
And winds its way through memories.
Fields of thoughts and fields of dreams
Entwined in hope and passion
Finding many paths long abandoned
Overgrown with complications.
Thoughts and dreams merge as one
Deep within the depths
My mind holds tight to words once spoken
Gazes treasured, Touches felt
Freely given.
Replaying memories again to soothe
My concious revelation.
Words and thoughts and actions taken
Ease the pain of loves forsaken.
Smiles and Tears always with us
Have their place in paths we've travelled.
Interwoven yet separate they create
The memories that feed the heart.
Somewhere in the depths of time
Somewhere long ago,
Or maybe on a future plane,
These loves were welcomed
Or perhaps the paths are not yet travelled.
Time stands still in memory
And in actions not yet taken.
Many loves have come and gone
Leaving imprints on the heart and soul.
More will come and more will go
Memories to yet be made.
Loves as different as the lovers
Embracing life and death together
As feelings climb some will go asunder.
Some sincere and others not,
Each vibrant in its way
None will ever die.
Each lies buried deep within my heart
To be resurrected when in times of need
My soul cries out for comfort and peace.
For thoughts to share, a look to treasure,
A Touch to warm
A need to keep my soul and soulmate
Safe from harm.
