"An unfortunate convent cooking accident causes most of the order of the
Little Sisters of Hoboken to die of botulism. Before all of the deceased sisters
can be buried, Reverend Mother Superior (Rue McClanahan) buys a camcorder
and VCR for the convent - resulting in not having enough money to bury the four
remaining sisters (which, by the way, are temporarily being stored in the freezer).
In order to raise money to bury the four dead sisters, the Little Sisters of Hoboken
(well, what's left of them) put on a riotous revue packed with hilarious,
show-stopping song and dance numbers."

Oliver: Celebrate Oliver! - December 26th 2005
Shane Richie hosted the spectacular show celebrating one of the most popular and best-loved musicals of all time,
Lionel Bart's musical OLIVER!
BBC-TV aired the special filmed on the stage of the West End revival in London where a selection of Englands
favorite actors and musical stars took to the stage to perform their own interpretations of some of most recognisable
songs in musical history. Matthew Kelly, Suranne Jones, Amy Nuttall, Hayley Westenra, Ruthie Henshall and
Aled Jones are just a few of the performers who paid homage to the musical, singing classics such as
Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me and Who Will Buy? The original Fagin, the legendary Ron Moody,
donned his fingerless gloves once again to give his definitive rendition of Reviewing the Situation, and host Shane Richie
performed his own special version of Fagin's signature tune, You've Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two. Telling the story
of how a Charles Dickens tale became a timeless musical masterpiece, actors from the original film version of OLIVER!,
including Mark Lester (Oliver), Jack Wild (Artful Dodger), Shani Wallis (Nancy), and Barry Humphries, who played
Mr. Sowerberry in the original Broadway stage version, talked about their roles in the show's history and what Oliver
means to them. Bringing Oliver up to date, rising young stars Joseph McManners and Perry Millward became Oliver
and the Artful Dodger for the evening. About 1 hour.

Our House - London - 2003
This musical set in Camden, is a fast moving romantic comedy, which tells the story of Joe Casey,
his mates, his girlfriend Sarah and the night he commits a petty crime to impress her. Following
the two courses his life would have taken had he stayed to face the music when the police appear
on the scene or bunked the law and made a run for it.
(Joe) Michael Jibson, (Sarah) Julia Gay, Lesley Nichol, Ian Reddington,
Oliver Jackson, Richard Frame, Matt Cross, Tameka Empson and Andrea Francis
Our House follows Joe Casey through two versions of his life - the result of making a crucial decision
ala Sliding Doors. As we switch between two versions of the same story, illusionist Paul Kieve has
designed remarkable quick changes which sees Joe switch costumes in seconds behind umbrellas
and other set pieces. While the Madness songs never hold up the action, without them Tim Firth's
script is still a great story.
*Despite winning the 2003 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical, it received mixed reviews
from critics and closed after less than 10 months. (This was also because of dwindling audiences due
to the terror attacks of 9/11)*

Patti LuPone At Les Mouches - New York - 1980
During her run in Evita, Tony Award winner Patti LuPone played an extended,
acclaimed engagement at the now defunct New York nightspot Les Mouches.
After she finished up with Evita she headed over to the gay disco Les Mouches
in Chelsea for this Midnight Saturday cabaret show. Recorded on the last night
of the 30 week run. Filmed using one camera on a tripod with sound patched
directly in from the sound board. This isn't a bad video at all! Maybe 2nd generation.
Before the nightclub act there are a bunch of good quality Evita-related TV interviews,
performances and a clip of Patti getting her Tony award, etc. It looks like the source
tape used to make the DVD was missing one or two of the songs during the Les Mouches show.

Rebecca - Liebe, Rache, Eifersucht - October 1st 2006
A Streifzug Kultur Special
+ 2 Premiere Reports
Rebecca is the latest musical from Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze, the team behind the European hit Elisabeth.
With a diverse creative team, stellar cast and direction from American Francesca Zambello, Rebecca had its world
premiere at Vienna's Raimund Theatre in September 2006. Based on the famous novel of the same name by
Daphne du Maurier and Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 film adaptation, it tells the story of the new Mrs de Winter
(Wietske von Tongeren), a na've girl newly wedded to the noble Maxim (Uwe Kruger). When she arrives at
Manderley, Maxim de Winter's country estate, she finds it to be an unwelcoming environment in which everybody
only talks about the beautiful Rebecca, Maxim's first and recently deceased wife. Rebecca's spirit seems to be
everywhere, but her death is surrounded by a dark secret, The main feature of this DVD is a halfhour
long making of, with a generous amount of pro-shot clips, backstage interviews and footage from the cast's visit
to Cornwall, Britain, where the story is set. Also to be found are two additional and lengthy television reports on the
show's opening from ORF and ATV, which include several interviews with the stars of European musical theatre
who attended the world premiere.

delayed and chaos ensues in this whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.

Homme Fatale: The Fast Life And Slow Death Of Joey Stefano - Sydney , Australia - 1998
Shane C. Rodrigo.
A Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras presentation of a play in one act by Barry Lowe.
"Joey Stefano was a gay porn star in the 1980s.This play is the tale of his rise and ultimate demise.
With a cast consisting solely of Shane C. Rodrigo, this Brechtesque show is not for the faint-hearted,
with drug use and nudity prominent throughout. Rodrigo's performance is good considering the play is
a 90-minute-long solo effort.
He builds a rapport with the audience (especially with the front row during the striptease). He effectively
portrays the porn world's objectification: `Come back when you've got breasts as big as Dolly Parton's,
a penis enlargement and perfect teeth, honey!''. One of the most gripping scenes is when Stefano accepts
a penis-shaped award in a tuxedo coat with no pants and talks into the microphone about how lonely he is.
This scene ends with a little boy's voice begging his father not ``to make me do it'', a reference to sexual abuse.
" Proshot using multiple cameras. Contains nudity, adults only.
