URGENT LEGISLATION UPDATE!

Legislative Day 07'

As a member of A.B.A.T.E. and a motorcyclist I have great concerns over Illinois bill HB1100 which offers drivers certificates for Illegal aliens. As a motorcyclist this puts me in fear for my saftey while riding. Shouldn't A.B.A.T.E. take a stand on this bill that effects us all? This bill has already passed the Il. house and is now on the senate floor. Time is short. Contact your Senator today before it passes.

HB1100 is just another reward for ILLEGAL ALIENS who have violated our laws and another incentive to come to the state of Illinois.

If our Senator's endorse HB1100 it requires the  IL Secretary of States Office to aid and abet illegal aliens by collecting their False Driver's Licenses and then being REQUIRED to destroy the evidence within 24 hours under most circumstances! REF: HB1100, Amendment 3, Page 10-11, Section (D).

(Use of Counterfeit or Falsified Drivers Licenses is a Class 4 Felony violation in many cases)

HB1100 even allows standard provisions to obtain the Driver's Certificate without first having Insurance, (A Major Safety Argument for the Bill is they will be insured). Insurance is required ONLY after 30 days and ONLY on a vehicle to which the driver has title of ownership; thus the State MUST Prove the Certificate Holder owns the Vehicle. This does not account for vehicles the Cert Holder had  previously registered using false ID and didn't disclose during the licensing process, or any other vehicle owned by somebody else unlicensed or uninsured who's vehicle they borrow.

REF: HB1100, Amendment 3, Page 11& 12.

HB1100 will NOT MAKE OUR ROADS SAFER, it will just make Illegal Aliens safer in attempting to avoid our laws. As a Matter of fact it will promote MORE Illegals to drive in our state and now not in fear for the law.

 Illinois Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White

79th State Representative Lisa Dugan

Consider yourself warned!

Illinois will begin using photo radar in freeway work zones in July. Second offense tickets are $1,000 with license suspension. Beginning in July the State of Illinois will use speed cameras in areas designated as "Work Zones" on major freeways. Anyone caught by these devices will be mailed a $375. ticket for the FIRST offense, but he SECOND offense will cost $1000.00 and comes with a 90-Day suspension.  Drivers will also receive demerit points against their license, which allows insurance companies to raise their rates.  This represents the harshest penalty structure yet for a city or state using PHOTO enforcements. The State will begin with TWO camera vans issuing tickets in work zones with speed limits lowered to 45 MPH. Photographs of both the Driver's face and License plate are taken.
